Dr. Susan Lynn Hess, MD

Dr. Hess has been a crucial part of mine and my sons lives. She is caring, professional, and without doubt, knowledgeable. She has been with us for over 16 years now and has helped us deal with the sometimes heartbreakingly tough decisions that have to be made when you have a child with a heart defect. We have come to love her and respect her deeply. Thank the Lord that she had the intelligence and tenacity it must take to become a cardiologist for our children.

As a doctor myself I had a few questions concerning my child's echocardiogram. As it turned out, she was using a nomogram from 1989! When I asked her about the inconsistencies, she told me to make an appointment. When I did, she said that she couldn't see me without my child, and that he was overdue for a follow up. She stated on the phone that she didn't need to see him for 3 years. She refused to see me for the consult, even with an appointment. I don't trust her reports or her current knowledge. If you have a child with suspected Marfans or a connective tissue disorder, steer clear!

She is truly an angle on earth.
