Where do I begin. I went to see Dr.Hughes after I received the wrong type of filler under my eye. Turns out that the filler radiesse is a type of filler that is semipermanent and is very hard to dissolve which is why it is not usually used under the eye area. I was beside myself. The area under my left eye was asymmetrical and it looked awful. At my first consultation with Dr.Hughes, I knew I made a good decision. She specializes in the eye area. I was so impressed with her and everyone in the office. They were very sympathetic to my situation. Dr.Hughes went above and beyond to assist me. She contacted manufacturer of the filler product and spoke with a representative to get advice on how to treat my eye. She tried several times to dissolve the filler. The treatments did improve my eye significantly, however, it unfortunately could not completely be dissolved. I wanted to cry and give up. It was consuming me mentally,physically, and financially. Thank goodness she didn’t give up on… me. She developed a treatment plan and I can honestly say it’s the first time since August of 2023, that I feel comfortable and confident with the way my eye looks. Everyone in the office are kind and compassionate women who understand and empathize with their clients. Dr.Hughes is not only highly skilled, trained and educated, she is compassionate and actually cares about her patients and the work she does. Her bedside manner was very calming. I’m so grateful I found Dr.Hughes and she is in NJ! I was going to Philadelphia because I thought it was better! I plan on being a patient at the Hughes center for many years to come!

Not Recommended for any Cosmetic Surgery

I went to Dr Hughes several years ago for bags under my eyes. The first time I went to her she suggested a conjugated blepharoplasty with skin pinches on both eyes and have me an estimate. My father passed away shortly after and I waited a year to come back and get the surgery. When I returned I received a different recommendation of fat transfer. I asked several times how fat transfer was going to help with bags under my eyes and they kept assuring me I would get the results I wanted. My results were horrible I still have bags under my eyes and there is no difference in them before or after just a horrible recovery period where I had swelling bruising and skin discoloration for 8 months after surgery. I’m sure she probably gets it right with most patients but she did not get it right with me, nor did the office attempt to make things right in anyway possible. Unlike most of her patients I’m not wealthy and this surgery was an investment for me towards the longevity of my career in… entertainment and it was an EPIC fail.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this review is worth a thousand praises and thank yous?? I will have many years of gratitude for this excellent surgeon. Caring of my well being and satisfaction was Dr. Hughes' and her staff's first priority. Thank You! Now I will let my husband post my picture??

Absolutely awesome experience with Dr. Hughes and Dr. Mikes ! Awesome staff. I can’t express the warmth and the level of comfort I felt !

Went to Dr. Hughes for under eye bags that I felt made me look tired. She examined me a told me my issue was from filler that has settled in that area and she could dissolve the filler and I would see immediate improvement. I had filler in my cheek area many years before by a different doctor and was surprised that this was causing the eye bags. She injected Hyaluronidase and within a minute the bags resolved. I was am more than pleased with the results and would highly recommend Dr Hughes! She is an excellent clinician and also so personable which puts her patients at ease. I would highly recommend Dr Hughes.

I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE IN THAT SHE TRIED TO CONVINCE ME TO HAVE A FACE LIFT. My question to other patients would be why are you seeing an EYE SURGEON (oculoplastic surgeon) only ophthalmology residency and oculoplastic fellowship.

I have been going to the Hughes Center for three years. I have had fillers, PRP dermaneedling, and most recent nova threads. Dr. Hughes is as knowledgeable as you can ask for. She knows what the latest and safest and best procedures and treatments are being introduced to the industry. Over the past three years I have noticed a profound improvement in my overall appearance thanks to the recommendations and treatments that I have received. The nova threads, I have to admit, are a great alternative to surgery. initially I was apprehensive, this being a new kind of treatment. i trusted Dr. Hughes` suggestion. I admit there is some discomfort as the threads are being inserted. However, there is no down time and I had minimal bruising. Time is the factor. Your appearance improves each day. My forehead is lifted, my eyebrows as well. My nose appears straighter and my lips are a bit fuller. NO surgery. Patience is a virtue, sometimes you may have to wait a bit, that is because she is… reviewing your photos to make sure she gives you what you want. She has always asked me what am I looking to achieve. I like that she doesn't rush. The staff is wonderful, very well trained, courteous and caring. I highly recommend you pay them a visit. Mary

I went to Dr. Hughes for hair loss after I was at the point that I wanted to wear a wig. Dr. Hughes not only calmed me, but provided a non-surgical solution. After approximately 3 months hair began to grow, and within the year, you would not know I had a previous hair loss issue. I was now able to go about my daily activities without being self conscious. The office staff, especially Rose, were extremely helpful during the entire process.
