Dr. Susan Lane Jacob, MD

I have been with Dr. Jacob for 20 years now. She delivered my children and has been there for us since day one. She is always patient and kind. She takes her time and doesn't rush the appointment. She has never steered us wrong and I feel lucky to have her for a doctor.

Great Doctor who cares about fixing your problem.

I have seen Dr Jacob for years. I do not go often but when I have she has been very caring and compassionate. Her diagnosis has been correct and she has prescribed meds that have taken care of the problem. On occasion when I have needed another speciality she has referred me to great practioners. I would highly recommend her. I know others that she her as well and they like her too.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jacob's for over 10 years and when I called to schedule a physical they were "booked for physicals" 7 weeks out. When I inquired as to how that can be, I was told that it is a 30minute appt. whereas a sick visit is only 10min. While I like Dr. Jacob I am seriously considering leaving. So what if it's a 30min appt. Am I not a PAYING customer? I'm secretly hopeful Dr. Jacob leaves AHN and gets with s more patient friendly outfit.

She always takes time with you, you never feel rushed. Spends time with me adjusting meds. Don't always like her diagnosis, but she has always been correct. If she feels you need a specialist, she doesn't hesitate to recommend one.

I trust very few Dr. We found Dr. Jacobs for our family and the worst mistake we ever made. She is judgmental , quick to jump at a diagnoses and does not seem to follow the oath she took as a physican to cauae no harm. She misdiagnosed me , dozens of unneeded tests ect. As a young adult years ago I developed an eating disorded and was advised not to get on a scale. She was one of the few that I trusted enough with that information. Even though I am a size 4 in my 40's now, she had spoken with me as said with a smile,,,, I CAN NOT SEE YOU AS A PATIENT UNLESS YOU GET ON A SCALE AND UNTIL YOU DO I WILL NOT SEE YOI. I Trusted this woman. To top it off she misdiagnosed me a few years ago. Thank God for true, caring and honest physicians that helped and healed me. She should not be in practice. Nothing good about her. ONLY REASON I GAVE A ONE STAR IS THE OPTION OF A -star or 0 rating was not an option given.

Dr. Jacob ordered test after test in an attempt to diagnose my two months of illness severe enough to not be able to go to work. When all of these tests continued to come back normal, she was visibly frustrated not with the tests, but with me. She stopped taking my symptoms seriously, prescribed me medicine that I informed her repeatedly did not alleviate my symptoms, and ordered me to return to work. Finally, she ordered me a test that did NOT come back normal. The test (and the doctor that read the test) stated that I had gallbladder disease. I was, again, told to return to work and that, despite my personal history of gallbladder attacks and family history of gallbladder disease, my gallbladder would NOT be removed. We sought a second opinion and was told that my gallbladder needed to be removed immediately. I had it removed and immediately felt much better, no thanks to Dr. Jacob. We will not be returning to her office again and have already found a new family physician.
