Dr. Susan Clarke Lee, MD

She was great at first. Got me started on a new anxiety medication which has helped me tremendously so I’m thankful for that. She also got me back on birth control. Well, several months ago I was there saying I hadn’t had my period in almost a month and I don’t feel too well. Her reasoning was it was side effects from my medication and “you have a lot going on”. She did not bother to ask if I could be pregnant. Guess what....a couple weeks later I took a test and it was positive. If she’s Missing something that simple, what other conditions could she be missing?

Dr. Lee is a good doctor, however the office personnel in Woodstock are not worth a...well, they will make her profession go down the toilet because they do not do right. I have been double charged because they bill my insurance thru Dr. Bat who I have never seen...they will NOT fix it. Not sure why, but Dr. Lee does not give refills (only 30o day scripts) and you will have to call and get a machine every time. I have gone without meds because of this. The drug store and myself have tried twice each and not got a proper response to fill scripts. BIG PROBLEM. I have high blood pressure and this does NOT help the problem!

When Dr. Susan C. Lee was in Rome, GA, she prescribed Duloxetine for muscular-skeletal pain. I developed several symptoms over the next 4 months. After I researched this drug, I found side effects that were the same as my symptoms. I called her office and left a message with her nurse. I was told I needed to come in and talk to her. When I did, she said that I should not believe what I read on the internet. My information sources included my pharmacist and the FDA. She denied that the drug could cause the problems. My pharmacist and the FDA report said that I needed a physician's assistance to get off the drug due to withdrawal side effects. I attempted to contact her later by phone, and the nurse said Dr. Lee would not change her mind - the drug did not cause the side effects, and she would not help me get off the drug. This was a terrible experience!

I saw her once and it was my last. Her attitude rubbed me the wrong way in more ways than one. I was met w/ a sarcastic responses, such as, when asking what she meant/clarification about something - her response was “exactly what I just said”. Comments like that are what makes patients hesistant to ask questions & afraid to speak up. Lastly, I’m not sure what her specialty is, but there were two times she tried to correct me about side effects of two different, but very common/widely-used medications, in which she was out right wrong. It wasn’t worth arguing back about it, however, I do feel that both instances should have been common knowledge for her and said side effects would have been the first things to pop up in a simple google search or at the very least just refrain from giving misinformation.

Very like able and professional. Excellent job of listening and explaining. She looked at me instead of her computer.
