Dr. Susan Stephen Lester, MD

Dr Lester was filling in for my doctor. She was very caring and thorough and answered all my questions. At the end, she asked if there was anything else I wanted to talk about. Unfortunately, she only works as a fill in doctor for clinics with doctors on leave.

I am not really sure what happened with the other two people but I was thoroughly happy with my experience with Dr. Lester and her staff. She has been very professional and through in her evaluations and has made me fell 10 times better on multiple occasions! I recommend her to all my friends and relatives.

I felt compelled to write a review about Dr. Lester after a very disappointing experience had by my father. I am not a patient of Susan's, but my is. Dr. Lester and her staff decided to communicate a very serious health concern to my father through the mail. He received a letter claiming that he needed to respond with great urgency because of a test result. According the the letter, failure to call the would lead to severe health risk. He called. I called. We did not get a response for some time. It is my opinion that such information warrants a phone call from the doctor out of consideration for her patient. I cannot see many loving and compassionate persons disagreeing with me. Final Susan did call him and complained about a direct voicemail that I left and whined that I was rude. The voicemail was not rude. I very plainly stated that her action was unprofessional and requested immediate response as my father was worried that he had leukemia. My hope is that Susan will read… this and consider changing her procedure for contacting patients about highly sensitive and important medical information. A letter in the mail is not how you tell someone that their health is in danger and that you need to talk to them immediately. That type of info requires a phone call. I would have this conversation with her but she refuses to speak with me even though my father has given her permission to do so. Susan, please consider a simple change in your process to avoid having this happen again in the future.

Went to this Doctor when I first moved to the area. Signed a release to have my medical records transferred. Half a year later this Doctor does still not have my records and has refused to prescribe me my medications, because her office never cared to follow up with getting my medical records.
