Dr. Susan Loghmanpour, MD

At the age of 67, I have undergone various medical and dental procedures, including breast cancer treatment. However, I am profoundly dissatisfied with Dr. Loghmanpour’s care. During the preparation for right eye surgery, I expressed my anxiety to Dr. L. Her response, “I want you to remember more this time,” heightened my distress. Unsedated and repeatedly requesting medication in the OR, Dr. L maintained that the surgery would be painless. I did not have physical pain but I was overwhelmed with anxiety. I had no choice but to scream, startling the surgeon and prompting Dr. L to administer medication. The primary responsibility of an anesthesiologist is to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients, enabling the surgeon to perform their duties effectively. I believe I did not receive the appropriate care from the her. Furthermore, Dr. L billed my insurance 250% more than Dr. R, who provided competent and caring care during my left eye surgery two weeks prior at the same facility.… This is unacceptable. We cannot undo the trauma inflicted on me but I sincerely hope that this experience serves as a warning to other patients.
