Dr. Susan Marie Mason, DO

My therapist told me to ask my doctor for a certain medication for anxiety. Mason (I won't dignify her with the title doctor) focused on the fact that I wasn't currently able to work, which I explained was due to depression and anxiety that I was seeking help for. Upon going to the pharmacy nothing for anxiety was filled. I returned to the office thinking there was a mistake. Mason took me into an empty room, backed me against the wall trapping me there, in a threatening and mean manner said she was not giving me the drug (that my therapist recommended) because it was a controlled substance. Instead of explaining to me calmly and offering an alternative she intimidated me in a threatening manner and refused someone who was coming to her for help. Do not trust her to help you or treat you like a person. Please look elsewhere.

I was a patient of dr mason.i had unity point insurance covering unity point mainly . I was told I couldn't be seen at unity point at all except emergency room visit.i had a broken arm I was 62 years old. I received no treatment.no care .no tenderness. No love.in my opinion the doctors at unity point are inhuman.
