Susan J. Rehm, MD, is Vice Chair of the Department of Infectious Disease and Executive Director of Physician Health at Cleveland Clinic. Throughout her career, Dr. Rehm has been active in medical education, previously serving as Program Director for the Cleveland Clinic's Infectious Disease Fellowship and its Internal Medicine Residency Program. Since 2005, Dr. Rehm has served as Medical Director for the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education of professionals and the public about the causes and treatment of infectious diseases. Dr. Rehm's clinical research interest is in management of infections due to gram-positive cocci. In addition to participation in clinical trials of newer antimicrobial agents, she is involved in outcomes studies. Administration of parenteral antibiotics outside the hospital setting is an ongoing clinical and research focus.
