Dr. Susan M Rice, DO

Dr Susan Rice delivered me in July of Nineteen Eighty One. She has been a staple in my family’s history. She has been a physician to so many of my family members. Given so many vaccinations and stitched up just me so many times. She’s took very special care of me as a child. I remember eating fried fish and rice with her on a few of my visits. She is just that kind of Doctor. She always has a smile, genuine concern and love for her patients. Many years later when I became pregnant Dr. Rice delivered my son in September Two thousand and three. I will always consider Dr Rice a distant member of my family . We Love Dr. Susan Rice. You will NEVER be forgotten

The staff at Dr. Susan Rice's office are extremely unprofessional. Initially, I was questioned about my medical history and purpose for my visit while seated at the entrance of the examination room. The door to the room was left open and there were other patients nearby who would have definitely heard anything I would have said. They ask you for a urine sample at every visit for no apparent reason, even on my first visit EVER before I even met with the doctor. You can look forward to peeing in a cup and then having to hold it in the lobby. Hope you're not on your period when it happens to you or you'll be there holding a bloody cup in front of everyone. The most horrifying of all my experiences came after my examination with you when your staff member started to draw my blood without wearing gloves. I realized this after she had poked me with the needle, but before she was able to locate a vein. I asked her why she was not wearing gloves to which she responded, â??Why, are… you afraid to let my black hands touch you?â?? (I am white). I was completely stunned and insulted at the accusation and further disgusted that your office does not follow standard medical procedures. I explained to her that the need for gloves is based on safety and public health, not race, and demanded that she wear gloves. She replied by telling me that the office does not supply gloves that fit her, which was completely horrifying. She inevitably put on some (green) gloves, but she was rightâ?¦they were much too big for her. I could not believe that their office does not supply gloves to fit their workers. Just awful all around.

I was a patient of Dr. Rice's for 15 years but then I moved away. She was the best Doctor I have ever had. She was through and the easiest person to talk to about anything. My daughter had cancer stage 4 and she even took the time to talk to me and comfort me. I just loved her for that because she was my only child and Dr. Rice knew how close we were. I would recommend her to anyone!!!!

Dr Rice is an excellent doctor and I would recommend her to anyone.

My brothers and I grew up with this doctor and love her. To this day we still go see her even though its a bit of a drive. And I was happy to have her deliver and now care for my daughters health. Only complaint is how hard it is to get an appointment with her. And dont think about walk-ins you will be waiting for several hours in a cramped over packed office. I really wish theyd move to a larger building to handel their high volume.
