Dr. Susan Samuels is board-certified in Pediatrics, Adult Psychiatry, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, her unique residency training being the impetus for her special interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults coping with psychological stressors related to their medical illness. As such, from 2008-2012, she served as the Director of the Child and Adolescent Consultation and Liaison Services at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Samuels received her B.A. in History and Science from Harvard University, graduating Cum Laude. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked at the National Institutes of Health as a Laboratory Research Fellow in the Pediatric Oncology Branch of the National Cancer Institute.
