Dr. Susanne Michelle Shaw, MD

Dr Susan Shaw is probably one of the worst providers I’ve ever seen. She refused to retake a blood pressure reading in clinic. After telling her I believed it was a false reading. I saw her back in 2022 when I was pregnant with my first baby. I was seen because of abnormal bleeding in early pregnancy. I had lab tests done and even tho they showed improvement of HCG levels she told me “it’s not viable”. Fast forward and that “not viable baby” is now almost 3 years old. I was seen by her this time because my usual OB was out of office. When I asked to re take the BP she said “we will at labor and delivery” totally disregarding the fact that I believed it was a false reading after having it taken not even 1 minute from walking up stairs and all the way into the room without any rest at 37.5 weeks pregnant. I then asked if it was something I could go do the next day. She told me “You can do whatever you want but I’ve only been wrong twice in my career and that’s when I made… accommodations for patients” clearly not remembering the time she was wrong about my previous pregnancy. I followed my mom intuition and went to L&D the next day. I was monitored and my BP readings were reading normal/slightly elevated but Dr. Poe was confident since all labs were normal and I was not having any other symptoms that this was normal for me. So now Dr. Shaw you’ve been wrong at least 4 times in your career.

Dr. Shaw was awesome

Having lived in Los Angeles for many years, I was having a hard time finding a woman physician I was comfortable with, until I had an appointment with Dr. Shaw. She spent a great deal of time with me, showed compassionate interest in my life and health to date and was very professional. I HIGHLY recommend her.

Dr. Shaw is very personable. Waiting time was very short. Staff at the front desk and in exam room are very friendly and courteous. Dr. Shaw not only looks out for her patients needs medically, but also financially. I was given more insight on previous medical conditions than the previous diagnosing physician had ever given me. I highly recommend Dr. Shaw!

Dr. Shaw is very personable and experienced. She is an excellent doctor with a great bedside manner. I feel like I could discuss anything with her about my health issues. She is not an alarmist and makes me feel very comfortable with every procedure. Dr. Shaw went above and beyond for me. She spent hours on the phone with me before and after my surgeries and spent time with me in the hospital over and above what most doctors would do. She delivered both of my children and performed a hysterectomy. I highly recommend Dr. Shaw.
