Dr. Susan Pearl Sherkow, MD

Dr Sherkow helped me through the most difficult time with my son. I was about to give up and she showed me the right way to work through it. I can’t thank her enough!

Not a reputable professional. Be aware!

I called with a question about my son's behavior and discovered Susan Sherkow could not coherently answer even the most basic questions about Autism Spectrum Disorder, she just gave a flood of incorrect jargon about neurobiology when asked. Then I discovered she apparently doesn't even know what neurons do. This is a psychiatrist? I looked into it after I called and found out her status as an "expert" in the field is self awarded. She has no real credentials or certifications in autism from any known organizations.

Originally I was afraid of bringing my daughter to see someone because of all the failures and lack of progress we have had in the past. My friend recommended Dr Sherkow after her daughter was doing better in school, experiencing less tantrums and being more affectionate. We felt like Dr Sherkow took the time to listen to our family dynamic and help us implement changes. Both my husband, extended family and teachers have seen the improvement our son is making. At first i was skeptical about play therapy but it seems to help him open up and feel comfortable.We are hopeful and relieved to have dr Sherkow helping us.

The number of children affected by autism is pretty overwhelming. Dr. sherkow specialized in early intervention and makes parents feel less alone. She helps you understand what your child's going through and to cope and find hope. Recommended to NYC parents dealign with this complicated condition.
