Dr. Susan Helen Siegel, MD

Do not take your child to this woman. She dislikes children and has no patience for them. She literally kicked me out of her office. What a horrible person. She should lose her license!

This Dr. does not know how to speak to patients. She's very rude and condescending and will talk down to you. She got upset with me because of the amount of requests for medication my pharmacist sent over to her and suggested that my child find another dr. This lady is unprofessional and I'm not quite sure how she's been in this profession for as long as she has. Please find another doctor if possible.

This woman threw me out of her office (carrying my infant daughter) because she was upset that my pharmacy sent too many refill requests. I an not exaggerating. Find someone different.

At my lowest point in my life, she not only judged me for my actions, but she criticized my decisions that I've made in my life even after they were said and done. She made me feel like I was a terrible person and actually said my actions were terrible. I was sobbing uncontrollably and she just sat there. She assumed that I didn't feel guilty about my decisions and told me I would affected my whole life by what I've done. Just when I thought I couldn't feel worse, she made me feel like nothing. I asked her why she was making me feel so bad and she told me it wasn't her job to make me feel better. It was only her job to prescribe medicine. I've never met a person with no empathy until her. She made me feel even worse. I came in there to get help not to be ostracized.

In my experience, Dr. Seigel listened and wanted to help. I have an unusual medical condition that many doctors don't know a lot about and many doctors dismiss it or don't care to know about it. She accepted that she didn't know much about the condition and asked questions about it. No ego will get in the way and prevent you from getting proper treatment from her. She was there when needed, she was accessible, the appointment wait time is reasonable,and hours are good (late morning through evening). And she cares. I have nothing bad to say about her. I'm sorry for the previous reviewer's experience (re: not refilling medication when asked) but I do believe that psychiatrists are highly regulated re: when and how they provide refills. We don't know what happened there, or the history. So I personally wouldn't judge Dr. Seigel on that experience alone.

I've moved and had to switch doctors many times in my day. Psychiatrists are supposed to make sure you are safe, and that you have enough medication to last until your next appointment. During your hardest challenges especially when you are prone to suicide. This doctor refused a refill request knowing that it will cause me to be off meds, even with prior knowledge that I have attempted suicide in the past, and knowing that there is a set appointment in my new location that she can call and verify; she refused to medicate a bipolar person in her caring, knowing well it could end in death. Good luck; they should take her license. Wish me luck

She is very talented and makes the patient feel at ease and comfortable enough to say anything on their mind. I've found that when i need motivation she is there to give it to me and will also be completely honest. Needless to say she goes above and beyond
