Dr. Susan Kendrick Stroud, MD

Because I'm experiencing daily, life-threatening cardiac events, a medical professional urged me to request admittance to the hospital for observation while I wait for my cardiologist's appointment. Dr. Stroud ignored my concerns, refused to admit me, refused to help me build a safety plan for mixed BP (dangerously low with high BP at the same time, where the lows or highs are stroke-level, but I can't safely medicate to adjust without risking sending the other BP into stroke-level) episodes that send me into shock, & refused to note in my chart or discharge papers that I was being discharged against my will & believe I'm unsafe without immediate medical help. She also refused to help me know when/how to get emergency medical help with my heart problems. She did offer me Holter monitor to take home. When I requested time to speak to my patient advocate before leaving, someone came & took the monitor away.

When I saw her in the ER room I was instantly drawn to her. Dr. Stroud identified I had blood clots in both lungs. I'd been to other doctors in IHC network for over a year since my ablation on my heart and no one could figure out why I couldn't breath right or walk far at all or talk very much because of shortness of breath. I bonded with Dr. Stoud the moment we met. She was my angel that saved me or I'd have died in the next couple of months. She did something so sweet to bless my life to help me when she sent me on my way. I will ALWAYS remember her green and black hair But most of all I'll remember her adorable smile and pure heart! She wasn't going to leave until she discovered what was wrong with me. She is the greatest in my book! I always love her spirit and energy and compassion! I'd give her 10 stars! Paige
