Biography
I was born in a seaside city in the northeast part of China. After medical school in China, I continued my medical training in the United States. I completed my residency in Louisville and my fellowship in Philadelphia, and then I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2002. I serve as medical director for the Kaiser Permanente Riverside-Fresenius alliance hemodialysis center.
About my practice
I feel very fortunate to have chosen a profession I love so much. I especially believe in …preventive medicine, which is one of the reasons why I joined Kaiser Permanente. My practice focuses on the prevention and treatment of chronic kidney disease, the improvement of the survival and quality of life for my hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients, and on post- kidney transplant management.
How I thrive
I enjoy hiking, traveling, dancing, and playing tennis. My evening routine is watching soap operas on TV while running on an elliptical trainer. I am working hard on my sit-ups now. My goal is to be able to do 1,000 sit-ups per day. How many can I do now? Well, it's a secret!
