Dr. Susan Chukwuchebeanyi Uyanna, MD

Sr Uyanna does not seem to want to help the children. There are no follow up phone calls to see how things are going. She specifically stated she doesn't have time for that. I agree with another post on here stating the kids feel extremely uncomfortable with her when she make a them sit straight up and make eye contact the whole time. She is not very easy to get along with. medication after medication with my child until my child was so over medicated it wasn't ridiculous. I would love to leave her but we absolutely love Mrs. Blah Ha. She makes you as a parent feel like you are always doing something wrong and that we are under educated on our children. Hate going to these check ups now. From what I hear there are alot of dissapointed families. some of these stars wouldn't even get 1 if I had the option. courtsey of the staff is good. love Mrs Beth Blaha and the girls in the office. The supervisor there seems very nice as well. I forget his name.

This woman has no desire to help children or a real understanding on how to even approach a child. Her office is beyond sterile and in no way does she put her patients at ease. She is cold, speaks to herself under her breath (about you) and has little to no follow through. It shouldn't take her a month to do the paperwork for a prior authorization for a child's medication. Especially given the child is on the edge. She makes it clear when she doesn't like a child. Well, too bad, your job is to treat mentally ill children and they are not always going to to be verbal or respectful. Perhaps if there were toys in her office things would work differently in there. Children will talk more if they have a distraction and not forced to give eye contact and sit up straight. Equally insulting is the amount of purell this woman uses.

I visited Dr. Uyanna for a change in my anxiety medication. She switched me from drug to drug, apparently guessing on what would work. Each took seveal weeks to assess. My mental health became worse, leading to a deep depressive episode, which I had never experienced previously. I have now been treated by another doctor and therapist for two years and have begun to get better, but believe I will never be the same. The coincidence of her treatment and my depression is too strong to ignore, and I am looking to see if there are any class action suits against this doctor.

Dr. Uyanna seemed ok the first visit. The second, when we went back for meds, she was rude and dismissive. She wouldn't answer questions about the medications or how much she was recommending I give my son. She said if I was hesitant about meds she would discharge my son. I cancelled my next appt and I'll never go back to her!

We saw Dr. Uyanna 4 times. She didn't explain her reasons for making medication changes. She was confrontational. She felt threatened when I asked for further explanation. She did not continue the plan of care of the provider who saw my child before. This is sad as she's in an area with limited access to child psychiatrists. We left and are seeing another provider. She told me to call with any questions or concerns. Each time I called I never once got a callback.

Dr. Uyanna is not personal or. She doesn't work well with cranky teenagers. She is very smart and knowledgeable, but does not take into account the feelings of those she's treating. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone else. She asked that we call her with updates, but we never received return calls. We're told to come back in a certain period of time, but there aren't appointments at that time.
