Dr. Susan Chaiser Willard, DO

BEWARE! This doctor is completely and utterly incompetent and negligent. Do not trust the positive reviews on this woman. She should never treat another person again and should have never been a licensed practitioner. She did not listen to what my family member was trying to tell her, for well over a year, and is now facing a potentially deadly illness which could have been prevented. This narcissistic, control freak didn’t have enough sense to refer to the proper specialists for life saving care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Susan Willard's for 20+ years. After many doctors and tests, she was the only doctor to correctly diagnose a thyroid condition and get me on the road to wellness. Dr. Willard CARES about her patients and their well-being. We've been through a lot together, she takes the time needed to properly address health challenges, and works hard to establish a great doctor/patient relationship and to get to know her patients. I love that Dr. Willard seeks God's wisdom in treating and praying for her patients. When necessary to guide a patient for outside specialty care Dr. Willard strives to find specialists who will provide the same caring attention, while also keeping the patient's best interests in mind. I love Dr Willard...she's my Sister in Christ, a friend and the best advocate I've ever had when it comes to my health.

I've been a patient of hers for over 12 years and recently came back after being out of state for 9 years. Always listens, takes time needed. Only time she has ever rushed is when her PA is ill and she's seeing her patients too. That being said she won't take any guff from anyone. If she's being rude to you it's because you're being rude to her. She's put me in my place a time or two but I needed...

Rudest doctor, ever! If you're coming back to hear basic blood test results, (they won't tell you over the phone, you have to go back in so they can charge you for another visit.) You will WAIT a very LONG time. It was 45 minutes before she came in. She is the rudest doctor ever! Her bedside manners are horrible. She doesn't want to hear about your issues, nor does she care. You are only allowed to ask one health question PER visit with her. If you ask more than one, she codes it to your insurance and then you'll be charged another additional co-pay, PER QUESTION! She is all about the money! She tries to refer you to all of her doctor friends so they can bank on you too, not because they're good doctors. She charges you 12.00 to send your blood to a lab. (For your convenience...hahaha) They don't make you fast for accurate testing either. What Dr. tells you that you have blockage when she didn't even have you tested or scanned for blockage. My blood work came back that my… cholesterol was high. She GOT mad and hateful with me because I wanted to try and lower it with my diet first. She wanted me to IMMEDIATELY go on Staten drugs and to her Naturopathic friend...that ONLY charges 35.00 per visit, she insisted. I said, 'I would rather do some research and try to lower it with my diet for a few months and test again." She then, yanked that clip board up and said " WELL, I'LL JUST SIGN OFF ON HERE THAT YOU DECLINED MY TREATMENT, WE'RE DONE!" I felt so hopeless and sad when I left that office. I have never had a doctor treat me like an idiot as she did. If you're reading this because you are searching reviews for a new doctor....don't choose this one. You'll be disappointed. I will never go back.

Only in it for the money.

Doesn't read your medical records before she sees you. Abruptly leaves examining room while you are talking to her. Confused. Inept.

I have been a patient of Dr. Willard's for more than 20 years. I have always received professional care from her and her staff. My yearly exams are always thorough and if there is a hint of a problem she orders tests. She's not quick to order prescriptions which isn't a bad thing. She's all about diet and exercise which also isn't a bad thing. I think she's fantastic and I would recommend her to anyone!

It was many years ago, but Willard bedside manner was horrible. I left, got in my car, and never went back. Funny thing is I ran into a pregnant lady who looked distressed and after talking to her, found out she had just had a similar experience.

It has been some time since I've seen Dr. Willard, as live in McAlester, OK. She was always professional and caring. I started seeing a doctor in McAlester, who has now moved. Since that doctor moved, I've been seeing another doctor here. However, he has not taken lab, or had blood drawn for at least 2 years. I'm considering returning to Dr. Willard, but not sure of having to drive to Tulsa for medical care.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Willard for over 15 years. She is caring, compassionate, and a superb diagnostician. She has helped us through a number of family illnesses and accidents. I recommend her!
