Dr. Susan Elizabeth Williams, MD

I initially had an eval with Dr Williams because I had a large swollen area on my neck. She told me I could just live with it. Another provider in her office recommended I see a surgeon (at the time I didn’t even know he was a doctor) I had an exam by an Endo surgeon who did remove my thyroid which in the end after a biopsy revealed I had cancer. Recently had my annual ultrasound to screen for any abnormalities. I called multiple times for her to explain my results to me. She leaves a message on my chart for me to see a colleague because she doesn’t know anything about thyroid cancer. She’s very unprofessional and has zero empathy for her patients. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to her especially for anything serious.

Was not there very long, she asked many many questions. I got excited that finally someone would listen. In the end I was discounted/blown off and she had no answers. Her profile says she specializes in metabolism but she couldn't offer any advice and a couple of comments I made after doing research she had no idea what I was talking about! I found her stoic, uninterested and uninformed. She would ask a question and then go on to something else going through the motions not really wanting an answer to her question. Looks like they only posted the good reviews on Cleveland Clinic page. I am sure if you had Diabetes or Thyroid cancer she would be good, but heaven help you if you have an autoimmune or something not yet explained. I HATE that my insurance company has to pay her.

Dr. Williams completely disregarded me and my concerns. Despite a laundry list of complaints and a prior diagnosis related to my current condition, she dismissed me and said there was nothin wrong with me or anything she could do about it. I'm amazed she has such good ratings on the Cleveland Clinic's website. There are many, many other endocrinologists in the area that are more knowledgeable and care about their patients.

I had my first and last appointment at this office,first the doctor looked at me like I was making up symptoms up. I describe my history and problems I was having with my thyroid. After I got my labs not real response of what they thought my labs meant just here take this medicine. I don't care for the bed side manner of this place in general. And to top everything off I waiting about 15 min from being checked in to seeing the actual doctor. My actual time with the doctor was maybe 20 minutes at most, but why does my insurance get coded for an 1 hour + appointment at over $700.00 in charges can you say shady!!! Why take advantage of someone with insurance if you didn't really take that much time with your patient. Beware to anyone who goes the this office check your bills!

Dr. Williams was thorough, kind, and had excellent communication skills. I left feeling completely confident in her skills and diagnosis.
