Dr. Susan Woodmansee, MD

Dr. Woodmansee was the emergency room doctor assigned to my wife, who was there in deep pain. The doctor was quite intense (energy), dismissive, condescending, and rude. She had not reviewed my wife's chart prior (or the notes taken by the AMAZING nurse prior to her) to entering the room. She attempted to push her out the door with minimal exploration or intervention, scoffing at the medical condition that we have since learned is way more emergent than she downplayed it to be (without doing much investigation). While she still did very little to escalate my wife's case to specialty that day, she did get an urgent outpatient referral connection for my wife. Despite that one bit of help, our overall experience was extremely poor. She should not be caring for patients in urgent or emergent situations, unless she can improve her bedside manner.

She took time to listen, explain test results and next steps. Very compassionate.
