What a total waste of 9+ years my son was a patient here. We left his last visit and (most definitely his final visit!!) without a single goodbye or plan for the next appointment, not a single word..she literally just walked away.. straight out of the room. Not just unprofessional, very rude and quite frankly childish behavior from someone in the medical field period..and especially so for a "doctor" who "specializes in children's care". She gets paid well for every patient coming in.. doing the math for over 9 years would make anyone upset considering also the time lost..the years of following the wrong advice, diagnosis and treatment. I gave my child medications she prescribed..and listened to the non sense that "it's always the parents fault " to the extent of parenting courses!! Yes..through a program they send parents too.. just to have my son in the worst condition he has ever been in.What she does or worse..the lack of what she does for children, my son included ,is a warning… from a parent to others.. please don't waste the time, energy, money and your sanity to just be put on a hamster wheel going nowhere. We are already having a hard time with raising children with special needs. Ego has no place in medicine. She should have been an adult, put her ego aside and admitted YEARS ago she couldn't help my son. He is devastated thinking it's his fault she walked out. Do not waste your time!! Children can't get those years of their lives back and it will affect their futures including diagnostics and trust in other so called medical professionals among a million other reasons. Devastating. Shame on her!

Dr. Susan Youngs is an exceptional doctor in every respect. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and respectful of the young patient. Some doctors, after 25 years of experience, might have less enthusiasm for their work. Not Dr. Youngs. She is still coming up with innovative ideas and ways of engaging her patients. Her staff are warm and caring, too. Yes, you will wait a while for your time with the doctor. Is it worth it? You can guarantee it. When it is your time to be seen, you will be unhurried and will leave feeling encouraged and have all you need to take the next step.

We love Dr Youngs, She takes the time to listen, and fill in the gaps that other doctors seem to leave. She does not rush us through the appointments and does a thorough hands on exam, after listening to any and all concerns! She has always been very professional and has gone the extra mile in helping us get the referrals and insurance to cover things that we needed but insurance deemed unnecessary. We drive over 3 hours each way to see her and will continue to do so as long as needed. We even come from Grand Rapids which has its own specialists, but none as great as her!!!

the few times I have been there was a very long wait. The first visit they did not have my information correct and it wasted time going over my son's diagnosis when I had told them on the phone he already had an official diagnosis. It took me months to get in.
