Dr. Susanna Mathe

Just another comment to confirm she shouldn’t be allowed to practice. Even my PCP said she has the worst reputation in Richmond.

Dr. Mathe has always gone above and beyond to listen to me as the patient and to advise me as my care partner. She is always prepared for my visit and familiar with my history. It is often she reads the latest medical information available on my condition and keeps abreast of new developments and studies. A+, makes me confident I too can face my condition.

She spent the majority of my appointment yelling at me about how I was late for my appointment when the actual tardiness was due to her staff forgetting to check me in after I completed my paperwork. Her cell phone kept going off during my appointment, each time she let me know that she had other places to be. It was such a horrible experience, that I actually went to see another Neurologist the following day at VCU because I didn't trust that I received a complete exam. What she lacks in bedside manor, she more than makes up for with rude comments and making her patients feel like they are wasting her time.

Very thorough, took my complaints seriously and ordered more testing.

This doc needs to quit. She’s not a doctor material with her rude behavior and attitude. Very condescending. She didn’t listen to my concerns and ignored all my symptoms. I still suffer because I made the wrong choice by seeing her. No follow up whatsoever. She didn’t care about my health. I would not recommend her to any human being. The practice refused to have a second opinion with another doc at the practice! I don’t recommend the whole practice. No compassion for their patients

Dr. Mathe' didn't do a Neuro exam like Dr. Quarles asked her to do...She instead made fun of me and my level 1 brain injury due to my OCD disorder when I came in the day before my appointment to fill out paper work. Dr. Mathe' had written a compelling report 20 years earlier & that is why I came back to see her. This time she opened up her files and started yelling at me, telling me that I was mentally ill instead of Brain Injury. This is discounting her report earlier and abusing my disability

I would never refer dr Mathe to family or friends. Very disrespectful, doesn't hear out your questions or concerns without cutting you off. Waited weeks to get in for my migraines to not get any answers, treated me like I was a drug seeker! I have tried many medications over the years for my migraines therefore I know what does and does not work. Not Recommended!

Zero treatment from her. She didn’t bother to talk about my symptoms. When some has headaches, they expect the specialist to treat them. Not in my case. Not even a follow up.
