Dr. Susanna Marie Thomas, MD

I'm a brand new patient with this practice and I am SO grateful for the TLC care already! I'd been struggling with a long term cough and shortness of breath that was almost disabling. On my first visit they immediately gave me a nebulizer treatment that eased by breathing and allowed me to get deep breaths again. They are ordering me a nebulizer, but in the meantime, sent me home with one of the office units as well as the albuterol to enable me to use this treatment as needed until my unit arrives. What a welcoming and caring practice; I'm so grateful that they took me in as a new patient going forward. HIGHLY recommend this caring practice!

Dr. Thomas has been a great help to my family with my elderly mom.... what other doctor would provide her cell phone number and consult with my husband and I on a Friday night? I have had moments of frustration taken out on my mom’s health care providers that I know regret, perhaps even wrongfully her. But Dr. Thomas is there for you; honest and cuts straight to what need to be done. I am grateful for her.

Extremely one minded and dies not listen to her patients

Dr. Thomas is a very bright, thorough doctor. But, over the years I've noticed she's either very irritable, rude and inappropriate OR very sweet, upbeat and funny. I've experienced panic attacks during visits with her and left very upset. She asks lots of personal questions and comments without a filter. I've always loved Dr. Thomas and I know she cares very much about her patients. But, I never know which Dr. Thomas I will see. I don't believe she ever means to offend anyone. I think it's out of her control sometimes. I hate to stop seeing her but I find myself increasingly anxious with each visit. Still, having known her for many years, I know she's a wonderful person and gifted doctor.

Although the staff was very kind, Dr. Thomas was EXTREMELY rude during my appointment with her. She made several inappropriate/rude comments to me about my health and was very condescending in the middle of an exam. I felt very uncomfortable throughout the entire appointment and was very upset after leaving.

Dr Thomas has true compassion for her patients. Her staff are always pleasant. With two additional APRNs in her office, I find it easy to obtain an appointment quickly.

Dr. Thomas is a dynamic and compassionate doctor who has received equally raving reviews from all the other doctors I've seen in the community.. I am new to the area and I am so fortunate to have found her. She has spent the time needed to get to the bottom of what is going on and she listens attentively to my concerns. I have sent a few of my friends there because I know that they will be in good capable hands.

I've been with this doctor for many years & over the long course I've been very satisfied, but recently I've noticed a decline in the staff & doctor's attitudes. Doctor Thomas is a lovely person, but on recent visits she's shown a testy, impatient side of herself, along with some sarcasm that I was fairly appalled by. The first couple times this happened, I let it roll off, since my overall experience there had been so good. Last time, I finally said something about it, diplomatically as possible. To the doctor's credit, she apologized, quickly back-pedaled & gave me several compliments. I still can't help thinking that there is something going on at this practice, which is amiss in the last few years. The staff seems weary & it's rare to get a smile from them anymore. There's an administrator who pursues bill payments like a vulture. I'd really like to see this group get their spirit back. I will probably stay on, in the hopes of that. Just don't know what happened.
