Dr. Susannah Lambird Collier, MD

Very unprofessional and extremely unpleasant staff. There was a confusing situation regarding my appointment. One was scheduled with Dr Collier and one was scheduled with Dr Bentley who is not part of the practice but in the same building. Once I researched the situation I discovered the problem. My insurance company has a referral service. I had called them to request they recommend a dermatologist. They referred me to Dr Bentley. They had asked my availability but I had no idea they we’re going to make an appointment for me. I made an appointment with Dr Collier as I was very concerned the growth on my nose was basil cell carcinoma as another Dr thought it was but didn’t take a biopsy and said I needed to see a dermatologist/skin cancer specialist right away. When I arrived at Dr Colliers office for my appointment the front door was locked no sign or instructions posted. I called the office and was told the door locks automatically after 4 and they would come let me in. 5 minutes… later they came to the door. The receptionist who checked me in was pleasant. While standing at the desk there was a group of women including Dr Collier talking crap about me around the corner but I heard every word. They were upset about the double booking. Talking about a patient is ABSOLUTELY A HIPAA VIOLATION which I have reported. When Dr Collier came into the room she was so rude and disrespectful. She grilled me about having 2 appointments.I repetitively apologized for the confusion and inconvenience. Even after I apologized Dr Collier accused me of making appointments with dermatologist all over town. Wow I couldn’t believe she was speaking to a patient like that. The doctor took a biopsy. No one explained when or how I was to get the results. Once the doctor left the room the very rude office assistant began cleaning the room. I stood there a minute waiting for her to give me more information. I asked what I needed to do. Her answer was “LEAVE”. I didn’t say anything as I was floored that she would talk to a patient with such rudeness. No matter what the results are I will not be going back to this doctor. Many of their patients are dealing with cancer and are stressed, nervous and scared. They couldn’t care less. No empathy or understanding at all. If you are considering using Dr Collier DON’T!!!

My exam was perfunctory and five minutes at most. She seemed rushed. The front desk staff is very friendly. Her nurse (?) assistant could be a lot more pleasant! Smile, already! My blood pressure was taken at the same time Dr. Collier was turning my head and neck every which way. No wonder it was high!

Dr. Collier is AMAZING! I came to her with a melanoma. I was so scared and knew nothing about it(life-long tanner). She explained everything to me from start to finish and answered all my questions. I even asked about if she suggested I get a second opinion. Most doctors I've known would have been insulted. She was so nice and even asked if she could help get me an appointment with another physician for a 2nd opinion. After meeting with her, following her suggestions regarding research online, my husband and I decided to have her remove my melanoma. That was over 3 yrs ago and I still see her regularly for follow-ups. She still never rushes and is as thorough each visit as she was initially. I highly recommend this amazing Dr.

Dr. Collier is a wonderful doctor. She is very caring and has a great personality. She takes her time and listens to your concerns.

I went to see Dr. Collier with melanoma, she recommended a surgeon and checked me thoroughly. She is a caring physician, and very competent.

Dr. Collier examined me extensively and did a biopsy on my head. She then sent me to another surgeon for further treatment. I appreciated her professional and caring manner.

Dr. Collier was awesome! She was very caring and took care of my basal cell on my forehead and you can hardly see the scar! She's great!
