Dr. Susannah Parker Friemel, MD

I highly recommend this office! They go above and beyond for patients and have kind and caring staff. The whole building is beautiful not dull and plain like a hospital. The infusion area where I received treatment is very nice and comfortable. Makes you feel more at ease for your first treatment.

My mother was a patient of Dr. Friemel. My mother became sick with pneumonia, and I was disappointed in her treatment of my mother. I found Dr. Friemel short, cold and condescending. As a cancer patient, she knew my mother was immune compromised, and despite that, did not take my mother's pneumonia seriously. She did not aggressively treat her, and she allowed her to become septic and die. I called numerous times concerned about my mother's failing health, many times I spoke to a nurse, and the few times I spoke to Dr. Friemel she made me feel over-reactive, and insisted my mother's health was improving. I had to call Dr. Friemel to tell her my mother was dying, to obtain a hospice referral for insurance purposes. She never called to follow up with my family. I was hesitant to write this review, until I saw that she improperly prescribed narcotics to another doctor at the clinic. I very much question her judgment and care. Find another oncologist.

Very impressed with the office and staff. The office is beautiful and the front office staff are very friendly and inviting. Really makes a new patient feel less nervous. Dr. Friemel is very friendly and caring.

My first meeting with her I was really impressed. After that I had follow up appointments and she was never there and always had to meet with a nurse that was very nice.finally got referred to Iowa City where I got excellent care

After reading other reviews here, I was prepared for the worst. I thought she was okay---she is direct and to the point. She seemed very efficient, and I would recommend her to others. She is very business-like and doesn't waste time on idle chatter.
