Dr. Susanne Marie Powell, MD

I went to Dr. Powell for a simple removal of sun spots on my face-60 days later it appeared no treatment had been done-I asked for a refund so I could go elsewhere -she refused and asked me to contact my insurance company. I mentioned I had $5k deductible and had paid her cash- I was surprised she did back up her work and offer an alternative treatment or reverse her charges.

Not happy with with actinic keratoses treatment-After having the treatment 3 months ago it has returned as if no treatment had happened. I shared my concern and Dr. Powell and she became very defensive. In response, Dr. Powell wrote me a letter stating I was happy with the result and that is why I did not come back sooner. NOT TRUE-I was giving it time and was out of town for a month. The moment I returned I went to her office and stated my concern. At that time Dr. Powell became belligerent and defensive. I requested a refund or partial so I could go elsewhere and get proper treatment. She insisted I charge my insurance company and I responded saying I have Bluecross PPO and a $5k deductible and I would like my actinic keratoses redone or a refund. I was trying to work with Dr. Powell, however, for a simple procedure she insisted was better than my previous treatments from other dermatologists did not work. I asked her if she was a dermatologist and she said no, she was an… internist. The Curettage treatment did not work for me. Dr. Powell insisted it was far superior to other treatments I had received. I feel a bit hustled and discarded.
