Dr. Sushama Mody, MD

My spouse and I went to see Dr. Mody today. The staff did not inform us ahead of time that they need a prescription from someone before the appointment. The staff was super rigid and showed no empathy. For 30 mins, we kept requesting to be able to see the doctor and said we will get get the prescription next day. The staff was rude, rigid, and showed no empathy especially for new patients. Above all, we requested to speak to the Doctor and Doctor showed same rigidity and no empathy. We were told to reschedule. By no means, seeing her again. Stay away. If Doctor doesn't show any empathy, no point in seeing such a doctor. Stay away.

Horrible experience with this doctor. She was very cold and did not care. Only would see her for like 5 minutes, even if I was having a disease flare. She would always say take Benadryl. Would call to speak to her when I would feel sick, they would just leave messages for her and I would never actually speak to her.

I went to see Dr Mody about my gout and she did a wonderful job. I no longer have knots on my feet or on my hands and my uric acid is under control. It even helped with my Rheumatoid Arthritis. I want to thank her.

Dr. Mody is an OK she definitely needs a little more compassion. .I really miss the PA but the doc took over when she left. I could be really going through a rough time I would be encouraged and shown empathy. Now, its in and out I dont even know what's wrong with me. Questions not answered I'm very intelligent at least explain things to me. She doesn't even look at you when your talking makes me think she has too many patients to care. Don't just shoot me up with meds like I'm a robot not trying a have a functional life or family.Every patient is unique and has a story treat them as such.

I have visited the PA at this office and unfortunately had to visit this Dr due to the PAs absence. Dr. Mody had no sign of compassion, bed sides manners, sympathy, or empathy for my condition. I felt she did not care about me or my condition. I went to the office feeling sick and came out feeling worse. As a nurse, I have met many physicians and would never expect this behavior from one. I couldn't believe her demeanor if it wasn't for my husband being in the room to confirm it. I will never go to her again.

Dr. Mody takes time to listen and is a good diagnostician. She's smart and has great instincts. I travel from Manhattan to see her, and it's worth the travel time!

I have been seeing dr mody for almost 3 years and received more help from my primary physician. How can someone that is an RA be so dismissive and cold. All work no humanity. As you have guessed I'm switching ASAP.

She didn't listen and rushed through. Waited only to sit there and be ignored for 5 minutes if that!

The most professional, caring, easy to relate to in the professional field. Extremely capable, always trying to find ways to help the patient in every way possible. Explains to patients medications to be taken, side effects, and how to take them. Dosages carefully explained. While she is seeying you, she gives you her undivided attention. Nurturing, giving, excellent bed-side manner, listens attentively, and will go the extra mile even when she doesn't have to. Dr. Modi is no longer in Park Ave., and traveling to the Bronx is extremely difficult for me.
