Dr. Sushil Kumar Basra, MD

I had neck surgery with Dr. Sushil Kumar Basra in November 2025, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the care I received. He explained everything clearly, made me feel comfortable, and earned my full trust from the start. The surgery went smoothly, and my recovery has been better than expected, my pain is significantly reduced and my mobility has improved. I truly feel like I have my life back. Dr. Basra is a skilled, compassionate surgeon, and I highly recommend him to anyone needing neck or spine surgery.

The BEST! Skilled surgeon PLUS a warm, concerned, caring and friendly human being. Surgery went so well, and it had been complicated. You will not find a better spine surgeon.

Had bad back pain and could not do much anymore went to Dr Basra who did surgery and no more pain Dr Basra himself ia a great Dr and I would tell anyone with pain in the back to come here and see him

I went to Dr. Basra for a consultation after multiple treatments for cervical spine issues failed to provide the relief I was in need of. At my appointment, he sat me down, reviewed my information, and went over my MRI with me, showing me exactly what my issue was- two herniated discs that, without surgical intervention, would only cause me more and more discomfort as time went on. He told me I needed an ACDF, explaining what this involved and taking time to answer my questions. The staff at LISS was wonderful, and I was able to get my self set up for a day (for the surgery) that was good for me at St. Catherine's, which is right around the corner from where I live. (I have no complaints when it comes to St. Catherine's as well.) The whole process (leading up to my surgery- you have to get your ducks in a row before getting on the OR table) went smoothly, and, the next thing I know, I am being rolled into the OR. My stay at the hospital went well, and within 24 hours,… I was home. I felt great- whatever discomfort I had before the surgery was gone!!! I am currently following up with Dr. Basra now, hoping to get myself 100% within two months or so (three months recovery altogether from my surgical date). I find Dr. Basra to be totally awesome! He is friendly, extremely personable, knowledgeable, patient, and just cool to talk with. My surgery went well, and I feel great! I would totally recommend Dr. Basra to my family and friends. He is a good man and knows his stuff!

Dr. Basra is simply the BEST! There is no one that compares. He is friendly , passionate about his work, extremely caring, explains the procedure in understandable terms and is a highly skilled surgeon! He is backed up by a wonderful staff as well. Your in the best hands with him and don’t have to worry about anything!!!!

I wouldn’t know where to begin. I have nothing bad to say about Dr Basra. I like him so much that he had the opportunity to operate on me 3 times! He’s down to earth, very passionate and personal with his patients. He’ll spend the necessary time to address your needs and concerns. He’s not like some doctors that comes in, ask a few questions then leaves. His staff are also very professional and always friendly during the visits. The facilities are also clean and uncluttered. My case was atypical and Dr Basra worked with me every step of the way. I have family in medicine and because of the way Dr Basra has treated me, they too are referring patients to him. The way I see it, if another medical professional refers their patients to Dr Basra, that means they trust the care that he provides.

I originally scheduled an appointment with Dr. Basra simply hoping he would be able to assist with my C5-6 herniation. His confidence during the initial visit and the follow-up was amazing. He said he could fix the herniation and help with the pain, which was something none of the other physicians had said or even hinted. He performed the surgery and though I still had some pain, he never quit trying to discover why and where it was originating. When he realized it was not related to the neck, he suggested a colleague to assist. Dr. Basra still follows with me and makes sure there are no new problems that require intervention. His surgical techniques are incredible and my surgical scar is minimal. I cannot compliment Dr. Basra and his staff enough and honestly recommend him to anyone who needs a cervical spine specialist.
