Dr. Sushma Veera Gorrela, MD

If i could give this AWFUL human being -100 trillion stars I would. Unfortunately we were referred this doctor through our insurance company and she has been the worst doctor I’ve had in my life. Recently my mother was diagnosed with cancer. After my mother called ahead to verify Dr.Gorrela had her results (in which she was told yes ) my mom arrived at her appointment only for Gorrela to tell her that she didn’t have them in and that means good news aka cancer free. Only for my mom to return to work and minutes later have her receptionist contact my mom and let her know she had a referral for an oncologist. MY MOM HAD TO ASK THE SECRETARY IF SHE HAD CANCER, after literally being in that office minutes before hand. When she asked to speak to the doctor she had conveniently taken the rest of the day off. From then on she has made it EXTREMELY difficult for my mom to have / continue her treatment and in fact has delayed the whole process by 4 MONTHS due to her not returning phone calls or… sending referrals after my mom has already seen her and she has told my mom that she has sent them, even the doctors she’s supposed to send the referrals to can’t get ahold of her. We are retired military and it’s already difficult to find doctors who take our insurance which is why we were referred to her in the first place. This woman is a disgrace and it has gotten to the point where we are going to report her not only to our insurance company but to the medical board. I hope her license is taken away and to any one reading this I hope this saves you the time, money, and heartache by NOT going to her.

Dr. Sushma's office is very kind. I have been to see her many times over the last 4 years. There have been Times I had to wait a little bit, but I did not mind. Once she is in the room, she is very attentive, and show true concern. I would gladly recommend her.

She just does not care about anything but getting paid

You most probably will not even see the doctor, but the nurse practitioner. Eventhough the lab/xray is in the same building, I waited almost two weeks for results. I had to call in - no one followed up. When I did call I was told that I would get a return call but did not. Customer service is definitely not a priority. Rooms need a good cleaning.

Staff left me holding a cup of urine for twenty minutes. After my exam, my check in paperwork with identifying data was still in public view at the check-in desk. There is little continuity of care. Tests results are not communicated in timely manner (over two weeks, and even then you have to make the call). Prescriptions are not faxed to the pharmacy without reminder calls.

This doctor misdiagnosed me. She spent the entire visit talking to me / lecturing me on topics completely unrelated to the reason for my visit. I will not return, and I will NOT recommend her to anyone I know.

I was apprehensive about this doctor especially after reading one particular review online but she was kind and gentle and no doubt, a very efficient doctor.

Genuinely caring and very efficient

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! The office staff is completely incompetent and unorganized!!! It took over a week to get an appointment! When I showed up for my first appointment, the Dr. was "out of the office" and no one had called to notify me! It is not easy for me to make appointments during the day with two small children! I rescheduled for the following week and got to meet with the doctor. My wait was short and the doctor came in quickly but she has poor bedside manner. She did a quick exam, asked some questions and said she would call back with bloodwork results. Fast forward two weeks....I've made multiple calls to get results. I was told I would have to come back in one month to get results. I ranted at 3 people before the doctor finally came on the phone to tell me that my results were normal and to follow up with another doctor! So, after all that trouble and distress, I still got no answers!
