Dr. Suthin Songcharoen, MD

I could not ask for a better Dr. Very caring. She truly cares for her patients

Because of Dr Songcharoen, I was misdiagnosed and suffered two years before getting a proper diagnosis of Lyme Disease. Had to travel out of state to receive proper treatment. She is not educated on Lyme Disease testing or treatment.

I was looking forward to the care of Dr.Songcharoen. I was very disappointed. I was told i had bursitis. I was never given any medication or a shot after four visits. I was told for pain or a shot i would have to go to pain management. I completely wasted my time and money while suffering daily.

For the past two years or more I never saw the doctor. Dr Su turned me over to her nurse practitioner. Neither Dr Su or the nurse practitioner told me or gave me any information about RA. Office visit was consisted of Blood work, talking with nurse and then a 3 month medicine prescription and a four month next visit. Two major issues. 1. No information whatsoever concerning RA or the medications and my condition. 2. Never enough meds until the next office visit.

Dr. Songcharoen is a competent doctor. She is knowledgable and friendly, a little quirky, but overall never pushed me to get on medicine that was too strong too early (I was diagnosed with RA in my early teens and have had it for years). However, I will never recommend this clinic after the experience I have had with her staff today. I recently moved to a new state and needed my records sent over to a new doctor. Dr. Su's office and medical records staff, while friendly enough initially, (keep in mind they know me here) were rude and uncommunicative. I was needing my records sent as promptly as possible to get an ASAP appointment with a doctor here and instead of calling me back or even telling me on the phone it was not possible, (I still don't know why it wasn't possible to fax them) I had to keep calling to get bits of the story given to me. Finally, I get someone in medical records who has a snarky attitude and tells me the document would take too much work to fax. When I request… at least a couple encounters be sent over, she says "well that would mean I'd have to backtrack and redo it". Afterwards, I called back to let the staff know that a family member would instead be coming to pick up the records and we would send them ourselves. They then informed me it would be $1 per page. I have worked in healthcare since I was 19 and never have I had a doctor or supervisor approve of or condone such patient interaction. I have also never told anyone I could not do my job because it would require me doing something over. This service is unacceptable. Your staff is an extension of you. Dr. Su, thank you for the help you gave me while I was in MS, but I strongly suggest you have a discussion with your staff about how they treat their patients.

prescribed a med that sent me twice to the stat care clinic after started taking it, still recovering from that. Had to take off work for a week and will not go back to this clinic.

Very caring and concerned about patient's well being and individual issues.

I started seeing Dr Su, after moving from Ark to Ms in 2005. She took the time with me to explain how this disease was progressing and that I needed to start more aggresive therapy than what I had been getting Ark . I was reluctant to try the new biological drugs because of the increased risk for cancer and heart attacks..After serveral consults with her and she taking the time to show the x-rays and bone scans, I did start Humira and am so proud I did..It helped with pain and mobility tremendously..I love this Doctor and I could not put into words how I appreciated her patience with me. I feel like she actually does care about me and all her other patients..

I went in focusing on the beauty aspect of things. In other words what was going on with me externally. She was concerned about that but she quickly reminded me that my focus should be on the bigger things right now and my hair was the least of my worries. She spoke to me as if my mother would have in that situation. I really appreciate her for that.
