Suzanne Cobleigh, DNPPMHNP-BC

Hi, my name is Suzanne, and I'm a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner serving clients in Maryland. I specialize in insomnia and sleep issues, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder/trauma, relationship issues, and maternal mental health. I’ve been in nursing for 25 years and completed my master’s and psychiatric training at University of Virginia. I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, and together with my colleagues at Lavender Psychiatry, I’m on a mission to create a world where feelings are felt, respected, and cared for.

My therapeutic style is characterized by warmth, engagement, and a genuine personal connection. I believe in establishing a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, where we work together to make informed decisions about their treatment. I chose to be a psych NP because after 17 years caring for military families in the maternal-child health setting, I realized 80% of what I did involved addressing the mind, …spirit and fears of my patients. I found success by empowering and encouraging. I thought, "hey, I could do this 100% of the time.

My practice is inclusive and welcoming, embracing diversity in culture, background, and experience. I have worked with a wide range of clients, including students, parents, professionals from various fields, skilled tradespeople, service industry workers, retail employees, entrepreneurs, artists, and technology experts. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space where each individual feels heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their therapeutic goals. Starting treatment can be a scary and intimidating process. I’ve successfully treated many people who are new to psychiatric care.
