Dr. Suzanne Margrette Laskas, MD

Unfriendly receptionist humiliated me and my daughter and didn't inform us of their office policies prior to the visit. I called for a sick visit and it was my daughter's first time there, although her younger sister had been there several times. My daughter was sick, it was her birthday of all days, and right as we were checking in, the receptionist informed us they don't see children who are medically exempt from vaccines. She was very unapologetic and insensitive to the fact that my daughter was there, standing behind me, 8 years old and sick on her birthday. When I pointed out that my younger daughter is unvaccinated too and has been seen here several times, she just said she didn't want my daughter getting their patients sick and that she had to protect the other patients. She showed absolute disregard for my daughter and the fact that she was standing there, sick. When I called to complain, one of my complaints being that my daughter felt very badly by the experience, to be… turned away like that, she denied that her actions hurt my daughter by saying that she didn't address my daughter, she addressed me. The whole waiting room heard the exchange and me and my daughter left there publicly humiliated. Professional behavior would inform the new patients over the phone prior to the visit so that they don't publically humiliate anyone and waste anyone's time. Medically and religiously exempt children and adults are allowed to attend public schools and universities. I'm going to follow it through with the office manager. Once I talk to her, I'll know better their stance on professionalism and patient care and concern. Could just be this receptionist or it could be reflective of an attitude that permeates the office. I want to support professionals that are kind and caring and treat everyone with respect and dignity.

I have known Dr Laskas more than 46 years. Dr Laskas new then she was going to be a doctor. It inspired me and I marveled with the way she was with children. Dr Laskas watched over a family with 10 baby thru 10 yrs. It was amazing to see her care, there respect and love they all shared. I remember wishing I was one of the 10 children. You couldn’t trust your child with a better doctor or person.

I think that she is a good doctor. She is very knowledgable and addresses all issues. She tells you what you should expect as your child grows. I would definitely recommend her.

Dr. Laskas' approach is great! She is very straight to the point and explains everything well. I would refer her to anyone however, her staff members are very rude. Getting papers so my daughter could attend daycare was an annoying task. No courtesy. No confirmation/courtesy remainder phone calls about appts.

I went to see her twice and both times she was great, she save my daughter life; the doctors in this office are nice but the staff... not, are awful, PLEASE hire nice and friendly people that like work with kids and families

Dr. laskas needs to get rid of the receptionist who collects the insurance information. This woman is miserable and very unprofessional to everyone. I will be taking my kids to another doctor. My husband was appalled by how every time we take our kids there she talks to us in a very condescending manor. Sorry for the doctors in this location because they are good, but your better off going to a more professional office.

I have been using Dr. Laskas for my 2 children for several years. She has always been very professional, knowledgeable, and a caring pediatrician. Both of my children adore her and would never want to see anyone else!

She rush thru everything and gave the wrong medication. We had a bad experience with her when she was new (7 years ago) and nice to know she still has no clue after all these years. Never again take my kids to see her.
