Dr. Suzanne Rodkey Lutton, MD

HORRIFIC, would be negative one if I could do that here. She implanted my 3rd pacer generator. I never have been so brutalized as I was by her. She didn't really even speak to me except to let me know she knew what ribs were ( which was in response to me trying to tell her I have an a normal rib which protrudes. I thought that response was extremely arrogant considering the situation they had me in with my hands tied down in a drape over my face. She talked about me like I was a piece of meat laying on the table. She almost started cutting into me without any kind of anesthetic or sedation. I have had several surgeries several heart caths and never had been treated this way. Now I'm going on my second week of an infection at the insertion site. I made three phone calls in the following two days trying to let them know what was going on and didn't receive a response. They did however call an antibiotics but no one told me that they were there. So I wouldn't let this woman touch my dog… let alone me ever again. If I have to change practices in order to never meet up with this woman again I will. I feel she's in it for the money and not the patient. After digging around in my chest for an hour trying to remove my old pacer I didn't receive any pain medication and really no instructions I found my booklet and my card a week later due to me being so ill. Never again!

Dr. Lutton spends a lot of time with me & answers all my questions. I see that her education in cardiology is excellent: Cleveland Clinic & continued as a cardo. after her training was over. We here in FL are very fortunate that she chose Sarasota. Yeap, OH is pretty cold. Glad we have her.

Dr. Lutton is an excellent doctor. She spends the time to talk to you, explain test results and help you understand your health conditions and how to handle it. She is very patient!

If you want your concerns addressed, find another doctor. This one is too aggressive in her rush to treat.

Hard to be technical and a delight to visit at the same time, yet she does

I cannot understand the negative comments I have read about this doctor. I've seen her three times and have found her caring, concerned and very hard working. She will spend as much time as it takes but will not suffer fools gladly. Because she does spend so much time getting to the root of concerns, it does cause a backlog of her schedule.

Office is pleasant. Receptionist and nurses are quick to give an ear, but follow through is dismal. A request for transfer from Dr. Lutton to another doctor within the cardiology group is made impossible by the staff and this doctor. Referred back to general practitioner when a drug Dr Lutton prescribed was causing health problems causing delay in care.

It's unreal. This cardiolist dismissed my husband as a patient because of a bill that is 600.00 and due for 2 months. Yet- she collected over 143k from my BCBS plan. I am in the healthcare profession and I have never heard of such an appalling way to treat a patient , who has a major cardiac issue. To put a value of $600.00 on my husband's life? She and her entire office staff should be embarrassed.

Extremely ignorant !

Dr. Lutton was beyond rude to my daughter and my husband and I. She performed a "stress test" and billed the insurance for a brief jog through the hallways with my daughter. Her summary of the appointment was inaccurate, never received any diagnosis and she was more concerned with her Iphone than my daughter. She was extremely late for the appointment. Every comment made about my daughters history was disregarded and she kept saying she would ask the questions and we could remain quiet or leave. Ironically, many of the questions she asked my daughter was too young to remember or unable to answer. Therefore, she eventually had to ask us. She insisted my daughter had asthma, most recent tests of +100% breathing scores indicate otherwise. Select another cardio doc who actually cares about their patients.
