Dr. Swati D. Date, MD

I have had Dr. Date for my PCP for over 18 years. I have a chronic illness and have been seeing doctors frequently since before I finished college. I am not easily satisfied with doctors and have left several if they were not listening to me and working with me. I have great respect for Dr. Date and the care and concern she has given me all these years. Your doctor is not supposed to be your buddy or feed your ego. I think some of these reviews for her have been harsh. If you think you should have more time with her, let her know that or schedule a physical. She has never rushed me out of an appointment. It helps to be politely proactive with doctors in my humble opinion.

Do not expect her to give you a common-sense or practical approach to a problem. Her solution is either 1) take pills 2) get tests done. Holistic approach? She barely knows what that means. This lady is a pill-pusher (i.e. legalized drug dealer) and recommends doing MRI and other test based on very little information. She comes off as someone who reads the pharmaceutical brochures and thats all she can recommend.

Late for appointments and no follow ups

My primary care physician was not out of the office, and I needed a medication refilled immediately (as a result of poor communication and follow-up from the nurse when I called the week prior to get a new prescription). I saw Dr. Date, and found her to be extremely curt and condescending. I am also in the health administration field, and find this sort of care to be an outrage. I understand that they aren't handing out people skills at med school, but if I conducted business like this at my job or treated people this poorly, I wouldn't last long. The price of health care is excessive, seeing the doctor is often inconvenient (topped by long waits), and people are typically ill - I don't think it's too much to ask that someone being paid to "care" for you behave like a civil human being. Not only will I not be seeing Dr. Date again, I am seriously considering leaving this medical practice altogether.

I went to her to get some help with my anxiety. She was literally in the room for 5 minutes & told me I was depressed. Unprofessional.
