Summary

Hi, my name is Sydney, and I'm a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner serving clients in New York. I specialize in men’s issues, women’s issues, depression, anxiety, college & graduate student mental health, life coaching, life transitions, relationship issues, stress management, race & cultural identity, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), PTSD/trauma, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), and bipolar disorder. I’ve been in nursing for over 3 years and completed my master’s and psychiatric training at Columbia University School of Nursing. I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, and together with my colleagues at Lavender Psychiatry, I’m on a mission to create a world where feelings are felt, respected, and cared for.

My therapeutic style is characterized by warmth, engagement, and a genuine personal connection. I believe in establishing a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, where we work together to make informed decisions about their treatment. I chose to be a psych NP because I cannot imagine doing anything else in my life except for helping those who are finding their way and their voice. I always wanted a career in nursing and in healthcare due to my desire and passion of wanting to help those who need it the most.

My practice is inclusive and welcoming, embracing diversity in culture, background, and experience. I have worked with a wide range of clients, including students, parents, professionals from various fields, skilled tradespeople, service industry workers, retail employees, entrepreneurs, artists, and technology experts. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space where each individual feels heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their therapeutic goals. Starting treatment can be a scary and intimidating process, and I’ve successfully treated many people who are new to psychiatric care.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.
