Dr. Syed Shaukat Ali, MD

If I could give him 0 starts I would. My daughter (4 months old) has had issues using the bathroom on her own since she was born. We have done several test and still have no answers. And not to mention is staff members are rude and have attitudes. I’m just not pleased over all.

I was calling for the very first time to schedule an appointment and the lady picked up the phone and asked if I could hold. I was on hold 8 mins, hung up and called back. I told her I was on hold and that they must be extremely busy she said yes, no apology for the old time only a "Oh I can help you now." I can already tell I'm not going to like this place nor there customer service. Taking my business elsewhere.

My son first started to see Dr Ali when he was a baby and was diagnosed with acid reflux. Over the years, he's 8 now, he has continued to have stomach problems. Headaches, stomach pain, vomiting, constipation. Dr. Ali did a scope in the hospital. When I went in to get the results, he wanted to charge me another $45 copay! Keep in mind that I paid a $45 copay the week before and all he did was tell me he was ordering a scope. I asked him what the 2nd copay is for and he said because he is going over results, prescribing meds, and diagnosis. I asked if my child is not here why is it another charge. So, he said he could give me this info over the phone and not charge. I asked if i would get the same info that he was going to give in the office and he said yes. Well, im glad i didnt go in the office and pay another $45! I havent gotten anything. I still dont know whats wrong with my child. No medicine to help. He is still having the same issues. All i know is that he does not have a… blockage. I am done with this office. Besides, the bad follow up practice, the communication is horrible. I cant understand a thing dr ali is saying. I leave there just feeling helpless. I am taking my child to Atlanta to someone I can understand for starters. I feel like i will get better results.

Dr. Ali himself was great at the time of the appointment. However, my son had an appointment at 2:45 and we did not make it back to be seen until right before 4. Dr. Ali then scheduled a procedure for my son that took place over a week ago and I have yet to recieve results from. Will keep calling.

My child had a positive experience at Dr. Ali's office. He took time to address my concerns. We had a short wait time at the office. My child had a test conducted at the hospital and were we also had a positive experience with Dr. Ali.

My son has been seeing Dr. Ali for a little over a year now. I have worked in doctor offices as a medical assistant and clinical manager so I know how bust doctor offices can get but I have never had an extreme wait time. Most of the time i am in and out but had to wait maybe 45 minutes once out of about seven or eight visits. Dr. Ali has great bedside manner. He is not arrogant or egotistical. He makes an effort to remember my son and the family as a whole along with his staff. He did not perform my son's liver biopsy but came to the hospital to check on him even when his pediatrician didn't. He worked very diligently to diagnose my son and began a very aggressive treatment to help prevent further liver damage or the need to have a liver transplant. Not very many doctors return phone calls when they are off or out of the office but Dr. Ali returned my call on several occasions when I called about the biopsy results, lab results, and treatment plan. A great doctor for my son.

I waited for over an hour and a half to see Dr. Ali. When I voiced my concerns about the wait, he blew me off. He had not reviewed any of the records sent by my daughter's pediatrician and was completely unaware of her situation. He would not listen to my concerns or anything I said. He reacted far too strongly to my daughter's condition and scared me quite a bit. I would go well out of my way to avoid having to see this doctor again.

Dr. Ali totally missed the diagnosis of a child I know.I would not ever recommend this physician, take the extra time and go to Atlanta.

My child had a procedure performed with biopsies taken weeks ago and have not heard anything since. I called three times and am still waiting on a return call. The last time I called, I was told they would pull her chart and call me right back. That was two weeks ago! The follow up is poor.

dr. ali keeps taking blood tests and still he does not find anything and now i am starting to think there is nothing wrong with me he even diagnosed me with hepatitis b and thyroid enlargement
