He increased my mom’s meds without her consent

I am writing a very honest review because I have a feeling that this physician's office writes fake "5 stars" reviews for themselves for every bad one that it is written. Just a hunch feeling because I can't imagine patients having a completely negative experience and on the same week, another patient having an amazing experience. This would only mean that only certain patients are being treated with respect and courtesy while others aren't... I have had many problems trying to see this physician, mostly because his office never answers the phone or return voicemails. He relies exclusively on ZocDoc for all appointments and you can't call for questions or rescheduling. If you call the office, you get a an automated text message to call a different phone, but no one ever answers and you're in limbo regarding your concerns. I tried for 3 months. I was referred to this doc by this app and because he was in-network for my insurance. On the 1st visit, you're required to pay a high cash or… credit deposit until your insurance "clears." This isn't advertised anywhere beforehand, making patients feel obligated to pay this fee and too late to go elsewhere for care. I was also told to bring a passport photo next visit for my chart. Never heard of such a thing before. Why would they need my photo? That's because no one is intended on remembering you and you're just a money-making item to him. The doctor has no bedside manner. Stares directly at the computer the whole time typing. Does not complete a psychiatric assessment at any time or symptom management assessment. This clinic is basically a pill mill. I would not recommend him to anyone hoping to get care and education from your doctor regarding your illness or symptoms. If you want to self manage your disease and know the medications that work for you, then yes. This doctor will see you in and out with refills in 10 min, no questions asked. For patients who are truly ill and need of a caring doctor to guide them through their disease process, please stay away from this office.

Best doctor in the business. Very understanding and will prescribe you medications that help, even if it's a CDS. Most others in this field assume your a drug addict and tell you to go with over the counter to buy vitamins. Been a patient for 6 years and would never go anywhere else. This man is not just a pill pusher. If your in his suboxone program for drug issues you must attend mandatory therapy, and submit to urine drug screenings. Highly recommended.

Dr. Rasheed is a pretty good doctor, he listens and is straightforward. He may not be the style you want but he is effective and operational.

I wish I got to know the doctor. But the ladies behind the counter regret to inform you that you have to pay hidden cover fee's before you come in. Waste of time and I still have to find a doctor that's not trying to rob me.

Upon meeting him he was 25 minutes late. He was cold and callous, back turnt to me the whole time while I filled out some paperwork for his office. Then he gave my father and attitude when he said he would be paying. Once we got past all of the drama, I went into his office and he seemed to be a tad bit (not a lot) more warm. We went through a chdcklist and I told him past medications. One thing I didnt like was that I told him I did not want to take depression medication and he kept urging me to take a perscription for it. It was borderline harrassment at that point just for some depression medicine so i took the script and didnt fill it. I went to him solely because I needed my sleep medicine and add medicine that I used to take routinely, not to be percribed something new. If youre looking for a warm, kind, friendly, and professional doctor, he is not your man. If youre looking to get medication quickly, he is.

I have been going to him for about 6 years, and let me say...while he was in Wayne he was great. He would make appts and you would be in within 20 mins of your appt time. He then would sit with you, talk , go over your chart and find the best course of action. Things are MUCH different now. My last 2 visits were scheduled at 5:30. I always get there early, sign in and wait. Today I waited until 6:30, and I was back in my car at 6:38. Let me tell you..., this is ridiculous. He basically herded me in the office, didn't listen to ANYTHING I said until I barked at him that he wasn't listening. Then he raises my meds. REALLY? Without even asking what has changed in my schedule or anything? Also- I have been on Lithium for awhile and not ONCE has he sent me for blood work. All he wanted to do was get me out of there and pump me full of pills without listening. Even when I said that I wasn't finished he was already writing up my new appt. card for next time. (which by the way he didn't even… ASK if that date/time was good for me) In my opinion, this is why people with mental illness aren't taken seriously. The corporate pharmaceutical machine seems to have taken him over and he no longer cares (or hears) the patients side. I spent the rest of my evening finding a new doctor. The best part of all of this...I really needed help.

Dr. Rasheed did not take my insurance, so I asked him how much money I would be responsible for. He told me not to worry about it & that he was here to help me.P.S. to make a long story short, last time I went there for my meds, he told me I owed him $900! When I questioned him, he told me not to come in again unless I had cash. I'm out of medication & can't get another doctors appointment till next month. He is holding my medication hostage.
