If you are struggling in life due to family, Heath, job, or any personal issues, go see Dr. Waliuddin. There is no psychiatrist like him in the Chicagoland area. He will listen to your problems and try to find the source. He won’t just give you some pills and tell you to call him if you side effects. He actually cares about his patients. He gave me hope and a door to getting better and taking charge of my life, when I was lost. An amazing doctor, a patient-caring attitude; basically, the type of mental health specialist that can actually help you.

I'm not really sure why everyone seems to have such a glowing review about this doctor. To be honest, I went to him after reading about his great bedside matter. I found that to be lacking. At the first visit I did all the talking, which was what I was expecting. He seemed to listen somewhat. Although, a lot of his questions seemed to be things I had already told him. He also made very little eye contact with me. He quickly, and I do mean quickly recommended a very expensive anti anxiety/depressant that cost around $249.00, (that's with my PPO Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance) luckily, my husband makes a very comfortable living so I went ahead and tried the meds. I don't know if this doctor gets a kick back from this drug company or not. The pharmacist was shocked at the price and also stated that there were no generics. That evening I went home and researched the meds, only to find that a lot of people considered the medication horrible to try to wean off of. I called the doctor to… express my concerns. He acted as though I was being silly and told him that I would simply need to skip the pill one day and take it the next until I got off. So, I trusted that answer and decided to take the meds. After I had been on them for a month, and felt nothing, he prescribed Xanax to help with anxiety. I had heard this was a very addicting medication and was hesitant to try it. I got it filled and tried it once or twice at night, it just made me super sleepy so I decided against it. When I went to see him for a follow up visit I told him right away that I was not using the Xanax. He basically did not hear me because he was too busy already filling the prescription on his lap top. He was too busy asking me about my pharmacy to really hear anything I was telling him. Which was very annoying since I once again had to repeat myself several times. I have been on this medication for three months now, and although I have expressed that the medication seems to not be helping he has yet to offer any advice to change or take me off this med. I am very frustrated. I have decided that I have to wean myself off this medication. But the first day I chose to skip it I got horrible headaches, and threw up. I am praying that it is a fluke. As I can not afford to be that sick while coming off this drug. I have to take care of a small child all day. In conclusion, while this doctor maybe kind, he has zero bedside manner, and does not pay attention. It is very annoying dealing with this disease on it's own. Trying to get help from a doctor who is not present is the worst thing I can think of. I'm basically flying blind now until I find a new doctor.

Dr. Waliuddin is the most caring doctor I have ever seen. He spends more time with his patients than most other doctors do. I would recommend him to anyone who needs psychiatric help. He really pays attention to what his patient is telling him.

I really like this doctor. I have a lot of mental health issues and he is very patient kind and understanding. He is easy to talk to.

Excellent psychiatrist. He takes time to listen to your problems and offer counsel. When my meds weren't having any effects, he continued switching them around until we started seeing positive results. And you can tell that he's a very caring, genuine person. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Waliuddin is fantastic. I've been seeing him for a couple of years now and am so happy to have found him! I've never had to wait more than five minutes-he's always been right on time for my appointments. In addition, I'm never rushed and all my questions are thoroughly answered. He's also extremely helpful with making affordable prescription choices. Very knowledgeable.
