Dr. Syeda Tanzia Hossain, MD

Dr. Hossain has been my Gastroenterologist for a couple of years now and she is terrific. Recently I underwent a colonoscopy procedure with Dr. Hossain at her practice in Nesconset and I highly recommend anyone in need of a top doctor to see Dr. Hossain. The whole procedure from when I arrived at the office until I was released was less than 2 hours. The staff is friendly and professional and make this procedure comfortable down to a science. I never thought getting a colonoscopy could be a quick and comfortable experience. Top marks to Dr. Hossain and her medical team.

Dr Hossain saw my wife wife recently as a new patient . Just by chance, we happened to review the visit report available online. Dr Hossain never even physically touched my wife but documented some findings as though she did a physical examination. Dr Hossain only interviewed her verbally. She did not use a stethoscope to hear bowel sounds and she did not observe nor palpate the abdomen. She never looked at the abdomen. However, Dr. Hossain’s visit report states, “normal bowel sounds, no tenderness on palpation”. Very disappointed and not sure of how far or where to report this.

Dr, Hossain is a brilliant and caring physician with a wonderful bedside manner. If you have any apprehension in regard to getting a colonoscopy, you will kiss it goodbye with the initial consultation. Dr. Hossain will provide you with pain-free piece of mind.l
