Dr. Syeda Rizvi Shergill, MD

She has me on a 2week supply of medicine and like clock work I have to call at least a few days before I run out just to remind her to please call it in and the same thing happens she waits untFriday which she isnt in the office and right before my pharmacy closes to call medicine in. I think a patient should get more respect than that and it's always the same excuse they were busy. I feel that is unacceptable

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Dr. Shergill is the best doctor I've ever seen. She's helping to save my life . Need I say more? She's simply an amazing person.

Went to this doctor for chronic hunger and to seek tapering off an anxiety medication I've been on for over a decade. Furthermore, my old PCP of 11 years moved and I was seeking a new doctor. This was a mortifying experience and I really wished I Googled her name before going to her at Genesis. I sympathize with the other reviewer because I also left in tears. She is a condescending, self-righteous woman, and her facial expressions and tone really rubbed me the wrong way. She comes off as sweet and kind at first, but you quickly realize how egotistical and pompous she is. She also cited Dr. Oz three times during my appointment with her as a medical expert. Why am I going to see her if I can get all of my answers from Dr. Oz? She took my blood pressure three times during the short time I was there and didn't listen to a word I said, treating me like I had no clue about my own body. I recently lost over 30 pounds and I've never had high blood pressure. I have it tested often as someone… who is overweight, and it tested normal (118/71) with the nurse during my appointment. Dr. Shergill walks in, takes my blood pressure again, and tells me I'm "worked up" and that it's 130/100. She continues talking to me, telling me how amazing Dr. Oz is, then takes it again and it "went up". A few minutes later, she takes it a third time and tells me it's 150/100?! I actually laughed. At that point, I had already decided this was a joke and an utter waste of my time. She told me about all of these diets and regulations to try (after I told her I had already tried them), told me to go on a smoothie diet, fast, use Metamucil as an appetite suppressant, and take this supplement that Dr. Oz recommended in a recent episode that she's been using. And she called Weight Watchers radical? She told me it's time to "start" worrying about my weight and to do something about it, fantastically ignoring my 30-pounds-and-dropping weight loss. The final straw was when she took a totally random and critical shot at my tall, underweight boyfriend eating some cookies. She asked me to come back in a week to have my blood pressure tested yet again. I did not make that appointment, and I will NOT be returning. There's a difference between having poor bedside manners and NO bedside manners. The latter of those defines her perfectly.

Told me I would be shooting up heroin very soon, because I've been taking pain pills for a month, due to very, very severe dental (exposed bone) pain. Told me to stop talking and that my mouth is dry because I talk too much. Didn't know what kind of blood work to order. Was reviewing blood work that was at least 6 mos if not a whole year old. Did not know some basic medical terminology, like "lingual." Very, VERY rude!
