Dr. Sylvia Anne Gisi, MD

Anitta and Vivianna were both very rude and not understanding of me representing my 21 month old daughter’s care. I too am a healthcare worker and have to treat my patients as a front desk clerk as well as a Medical Assistant with the most patience and best customer service possible and these two were absolutely terrible. They spoke over me and cut off my sentences and didn’t confirm my daughter’s upcoming appointments because of how annoyed they were with my complaints, questions, and confusion of how I took off work, drove over an hour to pick up my daughter from her babysitter then started getting her ready so she can be vaccinated and checked by Dr. Gisi. Vivianna has absolutely no customer service patience nor patient understanding and literally hung up without letting me know whether or not my daughter will be receiving care or for what date and time. I called back and had the Office Manager Anitta get straight up defensive and flip the story telling me I’m in the wrong and… didn’t want to hear how poorly they treated a baby’s mother for seeking proper care and understanding. Please look for another pediatrician for your baby’s needs. Because God forbid a patient gets upset. Definitely a slap to the face and will further remember this when I take care of my own patients.

From Dr. Gisi's uncaring bedside manner to the upselling of products you don't actually need, a visit to Dr. Gisi's office will have you feeling worse when you leave than when you arrived. With all the money this office is making in up charges it would be beneficial for her husband/Office Mgr to invest in sound proof doors so that patients do not have to hear Dr. Gisi speak about them in a derogatory manner. If I hadn't been in fear of Dr. Gisi not completing my paperwork (which took an additional two weeks & countless phone calls at an additional $25 a form), I would have told her that it's unprofessional to insult her patients, especially when she thinks they can't hear her. This, among other missteps during my last visit had me leaving her office in tears. I'd go to Dr. Seuss for care before I ever stepped foot in Dr. Gisi's office again.

Most inefficient and unprofessional front office staff, they don't answer phones and never return calls, the good nurses quit in less than 3 months. We are shopping for another family practice.

Long waits for appointment, long waits in office and long waits for lab results.

Dr Gisi is still a good provider but I believe she has taken on way too many patients and she doesn't have the time to follow through with appointments accurately. She often misses diagnosis and she is so overbooked that she doesn't see you for more than one to two items at a time. Often times you can inform her of an additional issue and she will totally ignore it or she isn't focused enough on you to hear. She needs to go back to how she was when she first opened her practice and make time for the patients. Her beside manner has gone from a 5 to a 3 with me because I feel that she is too often in a rush to get out and onto the next patient.

Listens to my concerns. Encouraged me to ask questions. I am happy to be patient at this office.

First off, I can never get an appointment when needed (sick). They just tell me and my wife to go to the Urgent care who then gives me a prescription and tells me to see my Dr. (Gisi). Then I call the Dr and she can't see me for at least a week. Second, They have people come in for NO REASON. My prescription just needed a refill. I went to get my blood drawn for this to happen like normal....For 2 and a half weeks NO word from the Dr office about my results. For years every other Dr would call me and tell me my results over the phone. When I finally call to find out why it's taking so long, they don't answer. I leave messages with no return call for another week. Finally they call me and say you need to come in so we can go over your results. Why can't you just tell me the results over the phone...."you need to come in". So then they schedule an appointment 2 weeks away. I go in and all they do is check my blood pressure and read me my NORMAL blood test. There was nothing wrong… with my labs. Third, If you show up even 5 min late they charge you a fee and make you reschedule BUT when your on time you sit there waiting at least 30 min to be seen. Seems like all they care about is getting your and your insurance money. They could care less about YOU. I left there and went to a different Dr and I am SO glad I did. The nightmare is gone.

I cant even begin to tell you how horrible my experience with this group and especially Dr Gisi. You are putting yourself at risk going to this office -

Not crazy about the fact that the hubby is office mgr, ex-life coach and know it all - was impatient, had to ask the same question over and over and then he complained about his "poor" daughter when doctor gisi should have been doing her own follow-up - too many hands in the kitchen for me

Office charges for cancelled appt within 24 hour period. Impossible to get a nurse on the phone. Dr Gisi is a minimum of two to three months out in appt!
