Dr. Sylvia Esther Sossner, MD

So I went into the Dr.'s office after having a ultrasound the previous day. Dr. Sossner spoke with me about the report the Dr had left who did the ultrasound. All she told me is that everything is gone and you can go home. (I have a high risk, life threatening condition and I talked to the Dr about it during the ultrasound and knew everything wasn't out yet.) I try to explain this to her nicely that there must be an error and ask her to find the Dr.s that saw me previously. She tells me how well respected this Dr is and that the report is right and if she can't find him then the report is all I get. (And that I should have worked with Albany Med during the whole process except for the fact that I couldn't schedule an appointment with them that wasn't a month out.) So I cry while she's out trying to find the Dr. because of all the stress about not even knowing what's going on with me. She finds one of the Dr.s and guess what, there is still an ongoing issue and the report was never… filled out. Dr. Sossner is as stiff as a board as the other Dr. explains everything and doesn't even apologize for the confusion/error on her part afterwards. She's in-compassionate and cannot handle the possibility of being wrong.

Dr. Pilpel is an awesome OBGYN. I've been seeing her for 4 years now and the only problem is that it is hard to get and keep and appointment with her. I've had mine cancelled several times. I've considered going elsewhere since the office is in latham and then the appointments are hard to get, but after weighing the odds I realized it wasn't worth it. She makes me feel comfortable and I trust her judgement and advise. When I was pregnant with my son I received some rather scary test results and she was able to keep my mind at ease. I would definitely recommend her to anyone, but then it will be even harder to get an appointment. Ha Ha
