Syney J. Zimla, PA-C

Sydney Zimla, PA-C, MPAS, is a Physician Assistant at Houston Endocrinology Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with an Area of Emphasis in Aquatic Therapy from West Virginia University in 2023, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She continued her education at West Virginia University, where she obtained her Master of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies in 2025.

Before joining Houston Endocrinology Center, Sydney worked as a Physician Assistant in a multi-specialty medical group, where she primarily cared for cardiology patients. This experience strengthened her clinical skills and deepened her passion for managing complex chronic conditions.

Sydney has a special interest in diabetes management and is particularly passionate about patient education. As someone living with Type 1 Diabetes herself, she understands firsthand the challenges that come with managing a chronic medical condition. Her personal experience allows her to connect with patients and …provide compassionate, practical guidance to help them feel confident and empowered in their care. She has also completed additional diabetes management training through the American Diabetes Association and the International Diabetes Federation.

Outside of work, Sydney enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, family, and friends and playing pickleball.
