Dr. Szymon Rosenblatt, MD

I had a herniated disk that I tried to resolve through non surgical methods for over 4 months. It would not resolve and required surgery so I researched online to find a qualified doctor to do a microdiscectomy. I interviewed Dr Rosenblatt and another Orthopedic. Dr Rosenblatt took a whole lot of time to answer my myriad of questions because even though it was a relatively routine procedure to him, he could tell the information was important to me. I appreciate his candidness and understanding. My surgery was scheduled the day after the superbowl and he stated to me that he understood that Monday was MY superbowl. He even asked if I had questions just prior to being sedated for the surgery. Thankfully, everything went well, I was up and walking the same day, and Dr. Rosenblatt has given me my quality of life back (even thought I am still healing at this time.) I can't say enough about his skills, his PA, and the Amita Health staff that cared for me during and after my surgery. … I felt listened to and they helped me along at every step. They answered all my questions and helped me through a very anxious time. Most importantly they were able to fix my sciatic pain that plagued me for months.

Being a 45 year old mother and new grandmother this is a difficult diagnosis to take. Dr Rosenblatt has been wonderful, supportive and has taken all the time I needed to answer my questions.

Dr. Rosenblatt has performed two major awake craniotomies for a left temporal brain tumor. Each time the surgery was risky. He and his staff were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I am grateful to have such a wonderful doctor and team to get me through. Thank You Dr. Rosenblatt! Every beautiful day we have together we owe to you!

I was told that this doctor will not see patients that have had back surgery.My surgery was 20+ years ago and an entirely different condition. I was totally dumbfounded with that response.

Dr. Rosenblatt saved my husband against all odds. He had a subarachnoid bleed. He was not expected to walk or talk or return to work again. He is back to completely normal again against all odds. Dr. Rosenblatt saved him.

What there's nothing to say except this doctor was there for a reason. to save my son from is rupture brain anyerusym back in 2009. This doctor is and will always be in our eternal hearts. Thank you DR and his wonderful staff

After YEARS of suffering with severe lower back pain, this last time completely disabling, another doctor referred me to Dr. Sam, nicknaming him the ~miracle worker~. For me he is. The surgery was done at Evanston hospital, and not only did the surgury provide instant and lasting relief, they were outstanding in managing the pain before and after the procedure. For the past five years there's been no back issues. My quality of life has quadrupled, and we are so grateful to Dr. Rosenblatt.

Dr. Rozenblatt is an excellent neurosurgeon. He is very considerate and explains his diagnosis patiently and explains the various options available. He has been great to me and has surgically corrected my medical issue
