Dr. Taarif Hussain, MD

I was in Harrison Hospital-Bremerton overnight, for a possible "mini-stroke". 1. When Dr. Hussain and I first conferred, we agreed that he would not give me heparin injections (as he notes in HMC-B's medical records). But later that evening, and before being discharged the next day, his nursing staff gave me two shots of heparin, 1000 units each. 2. Partway through the evening in the hospital-wing, I discovered that they were giving me medications based on a 4-year-old medications list, including several that I hadn't taken for 4 YEARS! When I told Dr. Hussain about the error, he declined to even look at the list of my CURRENT meds, and made no effort to check them with my cardiologist (who had referred me to HMC-B's ER, "just in case") nor with The Doctors Clinic's current-meds list (even though TDC is also part of the same CHI-Franciscan operation). It wasn't Hussain's fault that HMC-B had wildly obsolete meds listed for me in their computer. But it WAS his fault that he… didn't bother to even check it, much less correct it - after I told him about it.
