Dr. Tadao Ogura, MD

I was under Dr. Ogura's care for 3 years in the 1980's when I was a teenager. He manipulated my whole family and I almost died as a result. He told my mother, who was at her wit's end, that the only way I would get well was if I moved in with my abusive father while she cut off all contact with me. For 2 weeks, I was held captive in a one room, unfinished apartment by my my father who physically and sexually abused me. Eventually I tried to commit suicide. Thankfully, I survived, but I still have severe PTSD in relation to this experience.

Doctor Ogura has helped me get through the difficult times in my life and I'll never forget all he has done for me, if you try to help yourself he will help you find yourself.

If you are looking For help to put you on the road to recovery off of the drug you are onâ?¦ Do not go see this doctor. He is just like all the rest but he claims that he isn't. He changes the game plan every time my husband and I have been to see him. He doesn't review the records before the appointment. And instead of decreasing the dosage he keeps increasing the dosage of my husbands drug of choice. If you are looking to be clean and sober this doctor is not for you.

"he wil take you on the road to recovery with great results" He will try, 7 years of trryig, without succes. Doctors with integrity would have reccomennded another psychiatrist by this time, not continue to take money for no relief. Do you pay a mechanicc to fix brakes and drive away with broken brakes and bring the car back to him for years without his fixing yourbrakes? No brainer. He abused my husbands dependance on him, to the tune of thousands of dollars, and he did not improve at all. You may say he should go to someone else, depression and anxiety cna be dibilitating, make you imobile, scared to chang, psychiatrist know this and Dr Ogura has taken advantage of this kowledge. Nest appt i will be with my husband to ask questions, wiht his approval, he had better have answers, or a name of a doctor that can help. I a disgusted how doctors gouge with procedures unecessary and keep pts coming back knowing they need other help. Where is our integrity and compassion for… others, in the bank I guess,

going to Dr Ogura was a waste of my husbands time, years of time. He tried and is very kind, compasionate,but my husbands depression never, ever, got better. Who pays for service and gets nothing? I am sure he halps many people but nothing he prescribed helpped my husbands depression. Would you go to mechanic for brake job, pay drive away with broken brakes and return to them to do the job again, paying agsin? I realize it takes a long time in some cases to find right mix of meds, but 7 years, too long. Some doctors and pts. do not mix. Two people do not meld always, the chemistry, whatever you want to call it. Dr Ogura should have said I am unable to help you and am doing you a disservice, perhaps fresh eyes, and mind are needed. That is professional and true, no shame, just reality. Dop not take money year after year without some success. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results IS THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY, NO?

He's a really good doctor. In 9 out of 10 aspects. The only thing I feel is that he's impersonal. To me his patient side manner isn't good. But he will take u on the rode to recovery with great results.
