Dr. Tahir M Sheikh, MD

The worst psychiatrist I've ever had. He arbitrarily decided to take me off of my sleep medication and ADHD medication for literally no reason whatsoever, he just said that I don't need them and refused to prescribe them. He was rude and dismissive and completely unconcerned with my health. I don't know why he is a doctor, he doesn't base his treatment on anything other than his whim at the moment. He's worse than no doctor at all.

Is a doctor who I think does not understand English very well. Does not remember what he has medication he gives. Does not know who you are after seeing him for over two years. Puts things down that you did not even say. Does not listen. Rude

He could care less about his patients and made me feel worse coming out of his office.

This doctor called me psychotic right in front of my face, he also asked how much I make in social security. Then I mentioned I had terrible anxiety and I don't have a job currently, but asked where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Dr. Sheikh, in the event of an accidental overdose on OTC medicine. After determining me to be of sound mental status and approving discharge. Allowed himself to be manipulated into committing me by direct family members and nurses. I was chemically bound along with being tied to my bed. Then taken against my will to a ward. Diagnosis, psychosis without mention of accidental drug overdose. Over the course of five days I was subject to forced medication and basic non treatment from a rude man who clearly has no functional memory. I say this because I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression by Dr. Sheikh at age 14. His treatment was not effective. Then at age 17 I was properly diagnosed and treated for High Functioning Autism. The good Dr didn’t take kindly to this news from my lawyer. He didn’t even remember me 5 years later, oh well. This man is complicit in unethical conditions in the psych ward I was held in. Along with allowing for abuse by the Nurses and Security… staff. He should not be a doctor! He should not be in that ward! Shame on you if you’re reading this Dr Sheikh!

absolutely the worst ever,totall inept,had been seeing another good doctor there for years but he left.Strongly suggest you look elsewhere.Could never get my meds,refuses any phone calls.
