Taina Jean-Pierre was born and raised in Queens, New York, before moving to South Florida in 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University. In 2023, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from South University.
Taina began her healthcare career in 2000 as a Respiratory Therapist and Pulmonary Function Technologist. After earning her BSN, she worked at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in a Level 1 Trauma/Burn Center Pediatric ICU. Since relocating to South Florida, she has continued her career at various institutions, including Nicklaus Children’s Medical Center and Jackson Memorial. Taina is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a licensed APRN, and she is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
In her spare time, Taina enjoys cooking, traveling, salsa dancing, …and learning about different cultures. She is happily married with two young boys and has a mini goldendoodle named Lucie. Taina is passionate about educating her patients to maintain a balance for optimal health and strives to ensure they receive the highest quality care that addresses both their physical and emotional needs.
