Dr. Takouhie Maldjian, MD

T. Catherine Maldjian, MD, is Attending Radiologist at Montefiore. Her clinical focus is women’s imaging and mammography. In 1986, Dr. Maldjian received her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University. She then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and received her Doctor of Medicine in 1990. Her postgraduate training began in 1990 with a yearlong internship at Hackensack Medical Center. In 1995, she completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Following this, she completed a fellowship in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in 1996 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In 1997, Dr. Maldjian completed her training with a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Temple University Hospital. Dr. Maldjian’s research focuses on a number of areas, having published on a broad range of topics including musculoskeletal radiology, chest radiology, abdominal imaging, MRI, spine imaging, women’s imaging, …vascular imaging, neuroradiology, emergency room radiology and nuclear medicine imaging. She has co-authored over 50 publications and has given presentations at several national and international meetings. She is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society and the International Society of Skeletal Radiology.
