Dr. Tama Lynn Syrop, MD

Dr. Syrop has been my primary care physician for over 10 years. She is extremely responsive to any of the questions I submit on the client portal, responding within the same day. She is very thorough and friendly during appointments. I feel I am in very good hands with Dr. Syrop managing my healthcare.

I should have read previous reviews. Arrogant, judgmental and painfully rude. Apparently, if Syrop isn't interested or having a bad day, you're SOL Unless I'm mistaken, primary care is about diagnosis, proper prognosis and the right path to resolve. Don't show up on Syrop's bad day, or simply go to another practice. I've chosen the latter as a result of my recent experience with her. Self important woman. That the NAPC practice ignores her trail of poor reviews is sad commentary and bad business.

Will not go back. This doctor does not listen. Will give you an avalanche of referrals and do procedures not covered by insurance .

I was referred to Dr Syrup by a friend and she is absolutely amazing! The negative reviews don’t sound like anything like what I’ve experienced. Simply through conversation and deeper digging she mentioned the possibility of me having a pulmonary embolism…I was tested and ended up having one! She was aggressive with getting me to a pulmonologist quickly and worked on my treatment plan. I honestly feel like she saved my life. I’ve seen her as my PCP for years and she is so thorough and has EXCELLENT bedside manner. She’s a doctor who truly cares about her patients.

She has poor bedside manner, interpersonal communication and examination skills. I am a medical doctor and am thoroughly unimpressed with her. I will not go back and will not recommend any of my patients see her.

Worst “doctor” I’ve ever been to. Extremely condescending, rude, disrespectful. She does not listen. She spent her time bragging about her vacations to Hilton Head instead of listening to me and my concerns. I’m a pharmacist and she spoke to me about medications like I was an idiot. I just laughed in her face and walked out. Seriously. I hope she gets her license revoked. I’m more than certain she has caused patient harm somehow. If you have been harmed directly or due to negligence, please report her to the Board or find a malpractice attorney. She needs to be shut down. An absolute disgrace to other healthcare professionals.

They were asking so many questions before seeing if there was a first time patient Appt...I thought it was weird. The receptionist hung up on me. Something doesn't seem right here and now I see the reviews which are telling too

She is such a rude doctor and wants to spend no more than 10 mins with a patient. She does not give you a chance to explain your needs, however, she talks most of the time and says she has to go. I believe she does not care about her patients. She seems like the type of doctor that just wants to collect a paycheck with minimal effort.

Dr. Syrop was my PCP for about a year. I went to her, because I knew that there was something wrong happening in my body. I presented symptom after symptom to her, all of which were dismissed or misdiagnosed. She discouraged me from seeing a specialist, deeming it "unnecessary", and was incredibly against referring me to someone else. I was made to believe that my symptoms were psychological and not connected to any real problem. After finally having enough, I left her practice. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease- a condition that she should have/could have caught if she had done her job properly. I suffered for over a year because of this "doctor's" advice. Do not trust her. Her bottom line to to bill you for as much as possible, and then wipe her hands of you.

My husband had been going to Dr. Syrop for just over a year and a half, and every time he was worried because of his dizziness, vertigo and headaches, her response to him was to "Take Excedrin." We went to another Doctor and found out that my husband has a golf ball sized tumor in his brain, and that all of these symptoms have been warning us of this tumor. Dr. Syrop should not be practicing medicine. Do not trust her as a Doctor.
