I read the previous patient complaintsand don't understand them. Dr Atkins was caring, smart, and very thorough.

Dr. Atkins comes in after I've been in the waiting room for over an hour and the patient area for at least half an hour. This is consistent for each time I've seen her. Once she graces me with her presence, I explain to her what problems I feel I'm having. She says, "Alright," and then proceeds to ask whether I'm pregnant (I get it, I'm a mid-twenties, married female. Technically, I *could* get pregnant if I wanted), and repeats all the questions the nurse before her asked. She gives a raspy, rushed explanation of what she is and (mostly) what she is not going to do for me. Then she tells me to "sit tight" until a lab tech or nurse comes in with a cup for me to do a urinalysis. She has asked me to do a urinalysis EVERY TIME I've gone in to see her. Despite my telling her that won't be necessary. The last time I simply had her called back in after she left in a hurry and told her it wasn't going to happen. Dr. Atkins does not listen to me--I've never felt that she has. She does not… diagnose any problems, does not spend much time with me, and has never followed up with me after a visit. Her "bedside manner" comes off as being annoyed & confused as to why I've come in to see her. Even if you don't care if your doctor is rude and rushed, Dr. Atkins has never done anything but charge me for full physicals when I've not received them. She does not diagnose anything and is not helpful.

She didn't diagnose me correctly, and didn't admit that she doesn't know what went wrong with me. I had to figure out what might be my illness myself and seeked a doctor on my own. There is no reason to pay her for any visit. I have changed my primary care provider to someone else.
